so, the dragon eventually leaves his lair to go investigate.
and when he does spot the visitor--looking at something that barely feels like anything, something that he has the odd feeling he maybe shouldn't even be witnessing at all--he pauses in his tracks to only stare.
it's not much of a welcome, but at least it's pretty clear that Mikleo is being seen.]

Again, not a hellion, despite the uncomfortable level of malevolence swirling around the man. It's not dangerous, not yet, but he can't help but feel like there's an alarm bell going off in his head- to run, to hide, to find Sorey and be safe.
He came here invited, to visit a friend, so- he's not backing down. But he tries, as subtly as he can, to keep his distance.]
Hello. I assume you're a member of the ship's crew, here?
I'm guess on how his aura might feel so correct me if it sounds wrong
And I assume that you are not?
[because with how many new faces seem to be appearing around here, you never know.]
works for me! he is a squishy water person
I'm not. Elize invited me to visit a while ago.

You're Elize's friend? ...I would have guessed Cole.

[Very in-tune with spirits, this one is, apparently- he can tell that Mikleo is at least similar to them. That, combined with the malevolence, puts him even more on edge.]

[he smiles, but it's a very careful expression, and he holds out a hand.]
You may call me Tek, if you'd like. I captain this ship.

he really, really does not want to shake your hand]
...Mikleo.
[And he hesitantly accepts the offered hand, and he's trying to keep a solid poker face, but he's really not happy about it.]

and he's looking at the stranger before him like he can read his skin.]
I have a feeling you'll fit right in here. So, make yourself at home.
no subject
He shakes just long enough to be polite and tries not to let the contact linger more than that. Yep, definitely unsettling.]
Because of Cole, I assume. You know what I am?
no subject
I have no idea, honestly. But I would love it if you told me.
[he really would. it's the not-knowing that sets him on a potentially-dangerous edge.]

I'm a seraph. Sound familiar at all?
no subject
[even the bits he's learned about Earth religion and mythology hasn't really introduced him to the term. so, at least there's no recognition there, even over the word.]
no subject
Some compare us to spirits. I admit there are some similarities, so it's an accurate enough term.
no subject
[it's maybe a little bit of a dig, yeah.]
no subject
I'm not a ghost, I'm not dead. It isn't the same thing at all.
no subject
[he folds his arms lightly and his body posture settles. he would love to know the details, friend. he's listening.]

[Normally he'd be fine with explaining, but something about that previous cheek rubbed him the wrong way.]
