[ Elize felt she got along well with him the first time despite only speaking with him once before, but it felt long ago. Her shyness is overcoming her once again. She's at least aware that Solas is a friend of Jove and Cole. She doesn't think she should be afraid of him. Yet she timidly shuffles forward, arms remaining behind her back. ]
I-... I got you a welcome back gift!
[ Moving her arms in front of her, she reveals to show what was behind her back: a little tub of glittery paint. It looked pretty, so she decided to purchase it. For some reason, it was cheaper than most of the other paints.
...She's unaware this is the wrong kind of paint for murals. ]

[ Solas is surprised, but he does his best to disguise it. Presents are not something that he's entirely used to, never has been, and the fact that she took time out of her day to think of him... It makes him pause, reconsider and then smile, leaning down so they're at closer height to one another. He recalls what he knows about Elize and he forgives her the shyness she shows - he had been gone a long while, after all.
Reaching out, he takes the tub of paint and pauses for a moment. The glitter is - something, to say the least, and it shimmers in the light, and it might well be entirely useless for the grand murals he intends for the rest of the ship but, all the same... It is a unique and lovely gift, given to him with affection, and that is something he can accept.
Careful, he places a hand on her head. ]
It is beautiful. Thank you.

As he takes the small tub of paint from her hands, she watches him with anticipation and studies his expression. Feeling his hand upon her head, her cheeks flush and her smile grows wider, as though she had been rewarded. ]
I'm glad you like it. I found it while shopping... it made me think of you!

[ And Solas means that, too. The fact that his presence on the Pathstone, the image he had left and the impressions he had made on others, that all of it had not been forgotten... It means something to him, even if he might not be capable of admitting it aloud. It means that he has a place, even if he should leave it - much like his place in the Inquisition, the one that he left not too long before returning to the Fleet and, then, in time, the Pathstone.
Drawing his hand back, he watches the young girl with a guarded tenderness before he lifts the glittering paint, tilting his head and fighting his soft, fond smile. ]
Perhaps you and I ought to try it together, Elize.

Yes, I would like that!
[ She can't contain her excitement over his suggestion, bouncing on her heels. Then she quickly realizes how loud she was. Embarrassed over her display of eagerness, she pauses and looks down, scuffing the floor with the heel of her foot. ]
Cole said you would probably teach me how to paint...
