the audience will be so bored. there isn't ever any drama on this ship. at all. it's great.]

[and with that waiting, eventually, the dragon finds him too. sit and wait long enough, and even the wariest of creatures will eventually approach.

Tek doesn't need to look for him. unless he's behind the safe, warded walls of his room, he knows exactly where Solas is at all times--whether he wants the knowledge or not. it's like a dull, aching light constantly at the corner of his eyes, and he can only ignore that for so long.

so, he eventually follows the trail to whatever dark corner Solas is currently occupying. he doesn't announce his presence or say hello. hanging back at the point where his skin begins to crawl, he's satisfied with silent observation, for now.]

[ Solas is no fool, and he can feel the dragon's approach even as he's tucked himself into a quiet space to be alone. He is far more alert and careful than anyone might imagine of him and he tilts his head, listening for more than just sound, letting his senses prickle around him before he calms and turns his gaze away.

Let him come, if he desires. Solas is not afraid of him, though perhaps he ought to be. Any fear that he has is pressed down into the back of his mind, tucked away to become non-existent - because he cannot fear when he walks the path that he has chosen. There can be no fear when you walk a road that ends with the end of everything.

There is no greeting, but Solas does pause, dropping his charcoal and shifting to look at him before he finally finds the words to speak. ]

[--which he doesn't need to actually be able to see to comment on anyway. he's seen enough of the elf's designs to know that it's a universal truth for whatever he's working on.]

Already picking up where you'd left off, I assume?

[ Turning back to his work he pauses, considering, for a moment, before he huffs out a small, sharp little laugh. ]

What else might I do with my time?

I haven't any idea. You're the one who seems to be the creative type, after all.

[he casually wanders a step or two closer, at least appearing to try and get a look at what exactly Solas is working on.]

If I knew of anything else to suggest to you, I would.

Creative is certainly a word. Perhaps I simply have nothing else to do.

[ And, of course, this is one way for him to keep memories alive even after he is gone. That is a genuine concern of his, though he would never be willing to admit it. ]

If there is anything you wish to see done then that, too, would be acceptable to me.

[he tips his head a little to the side.]

Do you take requests? Or are you the type that only paints what they see in their own mind's eye?

If you have a request then, please, make it known.

[ He lifts a shoulder, almost absently dismissive. ]

I paint what I have witnessed, learned or heard about. I see no reason why a request could not fit in one of those categories.
