[ The kiss gets a little smile out of Elize. She can recognize from the hand movements that her hair's going to be in braids, instead of typical pigtails. She can't help but wiggle her legs excitedly, though not too much that she'll wind up messing up her hair. ]

O-oh... I know! I just wanted to see if I could do it myself for once...

[ Because she often doesn't tie it up herself. ]

You're much more patient than I am, I gave up on pigtails very quickly.

[Now it's just the one ponytail because Inquisitors don't have time to play with their hair when there's a world to save. As she works, she takes a moment to get a good look at Elize through her reflection in the mirror. She's been worried about the girl, of course, but she seems to be doing better now.]

How have you been settling in here, da'len? I know it's very different from the Huntress.

[ The Huntress won't ever return how Elize remembered it to be. It's now run by an entirely different crew, with a different and louder atmosphere. At least on the Pathstone, there's still some familiarity to it even though it wasn't her "home ship". She visited often. ]

...Fine.

[ Despite her annoyance with Tekhetsio. He might not be so terrible after all, but she's never going to say that out loud. ]

I like being here, looking at the murals. I like being with you and Cole.

[dawnwillcome]

And we like having you here with us. [There's a pause, because that doesn't sound like nearly enough, and Jove transfers the braid she's working on to one hand so she can rest the other on Elize's shoulder.] I like having you here. I'm glad you're closer now than you were.

[And as for the Tek issue, yeah, that's something Jove has been trying to keep on top of.]

Has Tek been bothering you? I know he likes to poke and prod.

He stepped into my room.

[ Now that's said a little too dramatically for someone who just walked into her personnel room. She sticks her nose up, haughtily. ]

Don't worry. I can handle him just fine.

[ ...He didn't even do anything but annoy her with his presence and check up on her. ]

That sounds like something he'd do.

[She says it in a way that matches Elize's dramatic, pained tone almost perfectly.]

I have no doubt you can handle him with no problems, da'len, but that doesn't mean you should have to. If he ever does or says anything you don't want him to, tell me. I have experience bringing him to heel.

[She almost says something else, that she's killed Tek in the past, but that might be a little dark even for a child as exceptional as Elize.]

I promise I'll let you know.

[ She stares at her desk top, idly pushing around a pen that she had left out with her finger. Thoughtful, she tries to think of something that Tek done recently that had made her really angry. Besides walking into her room. ]

I don't like when he says he's captain. He doesn't do anything. And... his smile is creepy.

[ It can't be helped. ]

[That gets a laugh from Jove, because she absolutely agrees. Tek is probably one of the creepiest people she has never met and that's saying a lot when your main enemy is an undead magister that has chunks of red lyrium growing out of his face.]

I've noticed he tends to become fixated on things that intrigue him, so you must have done something he found interesting.

[That's not excusing him in the least, not when he's focusing his unwanted attention on a little girl. As much as she wants to warn Tek away from Elize now, she knows the only thing that will come from it is an increased interest in the girl.]

[ A shrug of her shoulders.

Thinking of all of her encounters with him, she doesn't believe she has done anything too interesting. Although, it's probably seems that way in Tek's eyes. Most of the time she looks upon him with suspicion and calls him a terrible captain, which never really seems to faze him at all. Most recently he checked up on her while she was moping in her personnel room. ]

I called him horrible and threw Hoppo at his face.

[ Her doll. He easily dodged it and simply handed it back to her, much to her surprise. ]
