Thor Odinson, and he's fairly certain this is the brother his teacher had mentioned. Perhaps he oughtn't come over, perhaps he ought to leave it alone-- but he's curious. He wants to get to know him, to learn more about Loki's world.
So he comes over to the Caprine, feeling absurdly nervous, wand tucked into his pocket, string looped around his left wrist. He finds Thor in the kitchens, a row of glasses set before him, and despite himself a little smile comes to his face. If he's experimenting with drink options, perhaps they have more in common than he'd thought.]
Er-- are you-- you're-- are you Thor, then?
[What a way to start. He really has to get better at this kind of thing.]

I am. Come, join me, I do not believe all of these are repulsive.
no subject
They're not. I mean, I wouldn't call them all enjoyable, but the tea is . . . tolerable. I wouldn't recommend the soda, though-- the orange thing? It's rather disgustingly sweet, and I like sweets.
no subject
You are right. It is very sweet.
[ Asgardians don't get sugar rushes, however. ]
Which is the tea you like?
no subject
[Green tea, instantly brewed, which means it's not really proper tea. But it's better than nothing, and he nudges it towards Thor. Oh, and here's an opening--]
It's calming, really. I usually drink it before my studies.
no subject
It would be. Is it meant to be bitter to the taste? I recall tea having more sugar.

[A beat. He hesitates, and then:]
My teacher . . . I believe you know him. His name is Loki?
no subject
Yes, my brother.
[ No matter what else he claims to be, that will never change. Family is family. ]
I would not have taken him for a teacher. What kind of magic do you learn?
no subject
Illusions. But there's others, he's trying to get me off using a wand for magic.
[He lifts his left hand, demonstrating the string looped there-- Loki's method, passed down from his mother to him to Remus.]
I just-- wanted to introduce myself to you, I suppose.
no subject
Well-met. I am Thor. You will find there is no one more skilled in illusions than my younger brother.
no subject
[He smiles properly now, a little grin that's entirely genuine.]
I've never seen illusions so complete. I'm no master of them, my magic is far more on the offensive and defensive side, but-- my god, he's brilliant. I mean, obviously, you both are far, far older than I, but-- I'm hoping I can learn to improve mine at least a fair bit by the time we're done.
no subject
Then, I hope that as well.
no subject
[The answer, he suspects, is no, but Loki had never confirmed one way or another.]

Perhaps one day you will be there to see it. It is not magic to be performed lightly.
no subject
[That's James' problem, after all.]
no subject
[ The frown deepens. ]
My warhammer. I have been told it is pointless to search, but I intend to negotiate for its return.
no subject
[He does, too, just as he hopes James gets his wand.]
The way Loki goes on, you'd think no one ever used a magical conduit before.

no subject
Well. [He huffs that out.] I'm starting to learn that, anyway. There's all kinds of different magic and things on the Fleet.
no subject
I am not that knowledgeable, but I would be happy to discuss it if you desired.
[ gesturing to the glass ]
Perhaps not over orange soda.

I can make you the best tasting paste, if you'd like. I've found some flavor combinations that are decent, if not leaving your mouth wanting something to chew. And maybe you can tell me more of your world-- or anything, I mean, anything you'd like, I just-- Loki hasn't told me a lot. Our time is mostly devoted to him teaching me.

[There isn't a whole lot to choose from, honestly, from the paste they give. Remus begins sorting through flavors, picking and choosing, until finally he finds chicken and vegetable. Popping them into the fridge, he nods.]
They've got to chill for a bit, it's nicer that way. Ah, let's see-- my world is filled with both humans, regular humans, and wizards, like me. We can use magic-- it's a talent, honestly, mostly passed through families, though sometimes it comes up in random people. I'm a half-blood-- my mother's a muggle, normal, no magic, but my father's a wizard. And I'm, ah-- a werewolf. I-- it's a compulsion. I change into a wolf once a month.
