[There's a ~~Darth Maul cosplayer~~ tall and annoyed demon pacing back and forth, playing almost nervously with his hands like there's a ring that should be there but isn't.]

Another reality show? I thought the last one was bad enough.

[He stops his pacing to look up at the ceiling, seeming to direct his anger at that.]

Leo! Leo Wyatt! Orb your whitelighter ass down here and do something useful for once!

[He waits a moment before he throws up his hands in frustration and goes back to pacing.]

Great, fine. Alright, you've got me here. Point me at whoever or whatever you want me to kill so we can get this over with.

[There's a moment where he processes that and then lets out a sigh. He knows who Varric's talking about.]

Thanks for the warning, but it's a bit too late for that. We've already been acquainted. And I can do better than just wearing a hat.

[Cole then switches to his human form and crosses his arms, waiting for a reaction since everyone seems to have one about his form changes.]

Well, shit.

[He's a very eloquent dwarf. His eyebrows go up when Cole shifts back into his human form though.]

That definitely beats wearing a hat. Now you just look like someone who needs a stiff drink.

[Cole laughs at the response. It's one of the better reactions he's dealt with over his lifetime. He likes you, dwarf.]

You have no idea. I could definitely go for something strong right about now.

[It takes a lot to bother Varric. It really, really does.]

There's vodka on the waystation. Fair warning, though: it tastes like a fruit pie with too much sugar.

[If nothing else, the guy with the demon face is... not interested in ripping Varric's beardless face off his skull.]

At this point, anything's better than nothing. Bring on the fruit vodka.

[Cole has better faces to rip off, thankfully.]
