[He thinks he's starting to get the hang of this. (He isn't.) He pretends to consider it.] Do you really think it's so bad that the droids can't manage it?

No. But it will teach him a lesson in respect.

Was that your disagreement? [Luke smiles, just a little.] Philosophically speaking.

... He was insufferably rude. I won't have it.

[Luke would still like to know who this person is, but he won't press. There's only one other man on the ship's roster, of course, but Luke's met Logan, and he was perfectly civil. That, and Luke wants to think he wouldn't impale and possibly burn a child.]

It doesn't get much ruder than stabbing, I guess. [Well, except for amputations.] I'll see what I can do, Azula. Until then, I'm going to ask you in my official capacity as acting captain, [he can't quite keep the fondness from his voice (he can already imagine how she's going to bristle at this):] to take a nap.

[She'd been going to do that anyway, but now that Luke has ordered her to do it, she has to find some way to regain power over the interaction.]

... Bring me something to eat, and I'll consider it.

I guess, if you really want their... protein meals. [He's got to start stocking this place with real food or he's going to start longing for Yoda's cooking.]

Eating is also an essential component to a speedy recovery, is it not? I cannot very well be expected to prepare food in my current state.

[He laughs, surprised and fond.] I'm glad you haven't lost your spirit. I'll see if I can make something edible. [He stands.] But only if you rest, alright?

[Good. Dignity restored.]

Very well. I suppose I can stand to rest a while while you make yourself busy.

[t65]

[He's still chuckling.] Thank you, Azula. [Kids are hilarious.]

[He starts walking out of the medbay, carefully avoiding the streaked trail of blood along the way.]

[What a strange young man.

Still, once he's out of earshot, she does suppose she feels awfully tired. She'll crawl into the medbay bed in a moment. After she just rests her eyes for a second...

Which means, of course, by the time Luke comes back, he'll find her snoozing in the chair he left her in.]

[Not quite what he meant, but A for effort. Hopefully he can just kind of move the chair to her quarters without waking her. This will definitely work perfectly. He uses the Force to keep the chair level and walks the chair out into the hall. This is a great plan that he thought out in detail before enacting.]

[Azula is normally a light sleeper, but fortunately for Luke, she is currently dead to the world. She must be tired.]
