Who: Ororo and you
Broadcast: Fleetwide video
Action: On the Marsiva
When: Right now!
--
[ The video feed clicks on as Ororo wakes, with the sound of her cape's wrist bangles clattering against whatever assorted metal fixtures there are on the bed as she gets to her feet. It's quiet aside from the background noise of the Hospitality Deck, with Ororo silently assessing the situation she'd found herself in. Was it a kidnapping? She could see the void of stars and space through the large window - had she been pulled into another intergalactic issue? Ororo frowned, the sparks of lightning crawling along her skin making the video feed flicker with static. ]
[ Assuming that there were other X-Men with her here somewhere (nine times out of ten they were pulled into these things together), she decided to go looking for them and regroup... or at least find someone on the Deck to question. She takes the communicator with her just because it looked useful, but neglects to switch it off or anything - so between brief moments of static from her lightning, it happens to pick up her movement and voice as she mutters to herself: ]
By the Goddess, I do not have time for this. I have a school to run!

By the Goddess, I do not have time for this. I have a school to run!

action.
You're a teacher? Do you teach Elementary school?
[He thinks he'd be in school by now. If he were still home, he'd get to go to school.
Even if he's very runty, looks no more than five, he'd definitely go.]
action.
... No, I'm afraid not. My students are all in high school. [She smiles a little.] You can come out, I will not hurt you.
action.
Sorry. It's just — 'cus you had electricity! You should be careful with getting shocked. It's like putting a fork where the lamp's supposed to be plugged in. Baaaad news. I don't wanna be — crispy!
[He walks a bit closer, cautious but interested in the company.
He looks as young as four or five, perhaps runty for his age. The sweater he's in doesn't quite fit him properly, and his feet are bare on the cool floor.]
Are you a robot? Do you need a robot fixer?
action.
But please don't worry, the lightning is... Well, you could say that it's a part of me. [She crouches down to his level to show him. A few bolts spark out of fingertips for a few moments, only for her to reign it back in.] ... See?
action.
Whoa...! I knowed — I knew people like that. From the last ship I was on!
[And of course, some from home. A very select few, though.]
Are you a fairy? Or, or...! Or a wizard! Or a angel!
'Cus you got really cool hair for a angel.
action.
You knew others like me? What were they capable of? [Other mutants, maybe? There were new ones beginning to manifest in some places by the time she'd left her world.]
action.
[Didn't take long for that cat to come out of the bag, did it?
As it turns out, Takeshi's quite familiar with mutants. Has fought alongside them, even.]
Oh! And a lady who made fire. She was kind of serious, but she wasn't bad.
action.
Where did you meet these friends, little one? Do you think I could see them? [She didn't think she'd be able to regroup with the X-Men this way, but it was better than nothing.]
action.
I didn't meet them here... I -- I met them on the other ship I was on.
That ship crashed, and we was on a planet! Then I was here.
[He rubs his temples, looking troubled.]
This is so confusing... I hate space stuff.
action.
[ And Ororo notices how troubled the child looks and decides to ask him about it at a later date. She offers him a little smile. No need to get upset! ]
If it is any consolation, I am not the biggest fan of "space stuff" either.
Perhaps we can even trade stories about it later. It sounds like you've been on quite a few adventures.
action.
I guess so... I guess, yeah! I've been all kinds of places.
I never thought I'd go to space before. But I also never thought I'd fight monsters!
action.
action.
Monsters, uh-huh. There was aliens who came to Japan... the man in the ball made us fight them, and they'd try to get us and kill us. But I was real lucky, because my new dad protected me a lot when I was still too new to know how to fight like that...!
Not everybody was lucky and had a dad like mine. They didn't live for real long.
