[ The video feed clicks on as Ororo wakes, with the sound of her cape's wrist bangles clattering against whatever assorted metal fixtures there are on the bed as she gets to her feet. It's quiet aside from the background noise of the Hospitality Deck, with Ororo silently assessing the situation she'd found herself in. Was it a kidnapping? She could see the void of stars and space through the large window - had she been pulled into another intergalactic issue? Ororo frowned, the sparks of lightning crawling along her skin making the video feed flicker with static. ]

[ Assuming that there were other X-Men with her here somewhere (nine times out of ten they were pulled into these things together), she decided to go looking for them and regroup... or at least find someone on the Deck to question. She takes the communicator with her just because it looked useful, but neglects to switch it off or anything - so between brief moments of static from her lightning, it happens to pick up her movement and voice as she mutters to herself: ]

By the Goddess, I do not have time for this. I have a school to run!

Teenager. Maybe sixteen? [Not that she wants to speak for any of them when they can speak for themselves, but a little heads up can be a good thing and Storm is Storm...even if she is someone else's Storm.]

[Give her a few seconds to negotiate her feelings. It's not her Kurt, obviously, he'd be much older, and she's not sure if she should be relieved or disappointed.

But at the same time, to see a Kurt at all... Well, for now all she lets herself do, with an audience watching, is sigh and shake her head.]

That young... He must feel so lost here.

He seems pretty resilient. Upbeat. [But then she's also hesitant to let him in on any of life's harsh realities. He doesn't really seem prepared for that. And he could easily be hiding the other feelings behind the laughs and the charm.] He's been here longer than me and Rogue and Remy are from his world.

[It would be just like Kurt if he did that, Ororo wouldn't be surprised.

But, more importantly - ]

And you, Kitty? Is there anyone here from your own reality?

Me? No. Never is. [She'll go ahead and pretend like that doesn't bother her, not that she's doing a great job of it. She shrugs.] You get used to it.

[Ororo sees right through that lie, young lady. ... ... Of course she isn't her young lady, so she's a bit hesitant to make mention of it right now. Perhaps if they were in person...]

I'm sorry. It sounds like you've been through this sort of thing for a while.

I was in a place calling itself a prison for almost a year before this place. Same kind of deal where people come from all kinds of worlds and realities and timelines.

[Ororo knows dimension hopping is rough. Staying in one for an indefinite stretch of time was even rougher, but to spend it in a prison... It's hard to keep her protective instinct from rising.]

... You've had an eventful last couple of years, then. Perhaps you can tell me a bit about it some time.

[That's as close as she can get to offering her a chance to talk without coming off too strong. She didn't want to assume too much, as she has to keep reminding herself that this isn't really her Kitty.]

Never a dull moment. [Not just the last couple of years either. The prison wasn't the worst of things though it had its rough patches.]

We can meet up once you're off the Marsiva. I'm on the Windrose. [She would like to see Storm. Even if it's not her Storm. It doesn't really matter. She's convinced herself she's never seeing anyone from her actual home again and that maybe that's for the best.]

I'd like that. Not in the least because of the shortage of good company on this ship. [Ororo smiles wryly. It's... very quiet so far, and she's yet to find familiar faces here.]

[Such foreshadowing!]

You shouldn't have to be there long. [There's a flicker of a smile.]

You don't really get to decide where you go from there, but once they've chosen you can always transfer or visit other ships and places like the station. [It's the dry sort of information about this place she could be telling any stranger. She's not sure what she should be saying. "I missed you?" It's not really in her, but she did. Not that she ever met her before now either.]

[There's a bit of movement as Ororo goes over to the closest window to look outside.]

I've seen the other ships in the fleet, but what's this about a station? [If anything, fact-collecting is an easy enough, and useful, topic of conversation.]

We're by one now. I guess that happens sometimes. We'll get to a planet or station and we can go out and mingle. Take jobs. Relax. Whatever. They...we've been at this station the whole time I've been around.

... That sounds surprisingly harmless. [She's still suspicious, but... For a situation that initially sounded a lot like Mojoverse, that seemed a bit laid-back.]

And I suppose that is how we provide the entertainment? [...She can't say that sentence without it sounding like she had something distasteful in her mouth.]

Did you kind of want the station to be alive and sucking our life force or something? [Kitty shrugs.] I don't know what the audience finds entertaining but if it's me running packages to make some money for food and such then they need better hobbies.

It's not something I want, but perhaps a better word would be... expect? [Ororo smiles dryly, shaking her head.] Thank the Bright Lady for small favors, I suppose.

From everything I've heard it's not that dangerous or eventful here. There was one...maybe two attacks on the fleet by other ships.
