And who even knows with Max Lord. He's some awful, scheming millionaire who always manages to stay just this side of trouble.

Well, kind of. First off, I don't kill anyone. Secondly, I work with the DEO, which is a governmental organization that keeps extraterrestrials out of regular people's hair.

You trust them? The DEO? [Because that sounds like a dangerous operation to her.]

My sister works there, and they kind of recruited me. I don't think I trust the government overall, but I trust Alex, and I trust Hank.

Yeah, well, as long as you have your eyes open. I probably just default to suspicion.

I'm careful. I just really trust Alex. She's always been there for me.

Both, but I was thinking of my Kryptonian family. My aunt and her husband survived, as well, and it's just... complicated.

Her twin—my mother—put her in jail.

Have you talked to anyone about the pet policy on the fleet? Might be nice to get a cat or something. An alien space cat.

Sure. [Well, at least she brought her own wild change in conversation.] I haven't brought it up with anyone. It didn't really occur to me that there could be pets. Then again we had them at the prison, so I'm not sure why I'd be surprised.
