[ Kara's been away. Since her stunt running through cannibal-infested forests planetside, she's only been back on the Tourist a handful of times, mostly for clothes and a suncharge. It's not that she's outright avoiding anyone, but her priorities have lied elsewhere. However, through her conversation with Pavel—observing his anxious opinions of the ship—she's decided that some good old fact-finding is in order.

Despite her own guilt over neglecting her crewmates (and not really knowing the most recent additions), she's decided to seek out her crewmates that she doesn't know so well or hasn't talked to about everything. She tries to be super casual about it, but it's clear she wants to Talk. ]

[ Maybe October doesn't really happen in space, but since time is arbitrarily defined anyway, maybe it does. Throughout the month, members aboard the Tourist might notice subtle(ish) decorations going up. A paper garland of candied apples here, some adorable paper Jack-O-Lanterns there... The ship was destined to be a Pinterest board the moment Kara was brought on it. Sorry not sorry. ]

[The plan was all too simple and even simpler to enact. Slip aboard the targeted ships, tinker with the food paste's mechanisims and lay a simple spell on them, then wait and watch for their victims. People wouldn't suspect a thing until it was too late, considering visitors were normal on the ships, it was flawless.

They'd start with the Caprine and end on their own ship, because what was 'home' without a little fun?

Anders grinned over at his partner in crime.]

I can't wait to see their faces.

It would seem like a simple malfunction, if it wasn't for the magic used to cause it. A shimmer in the air and a little burst of light blue light was all the pomp and circumstance given before a burst of sticky and wet food paste burst from it's container and onto the unsuspecting victim caught in it's spray.

Have fun picking that out of your hair.

A sharp eye might be able to pick out the culprits hidden away and snickering to each other like school boys who thought they were overly clever.]

[At some point we got a cranky human pilot. Compared to the other ships, the Tourist is still pretty small... and considering the ~~angry cat~~ territorial elf in the security room, maybe that's a good thing. Guests are usually welcome though.

Someone has also hidden sea salt caramel chocolate in various parts of the ship as a Fun Bonding Activity.]

[Well, Tourists, your captain is feeling a little foolish after napping for an entire month. There are a couple of you he's hardly even met yet, so let's have us a mingle and get to know one another. The way-stations don't have a lot of interesting stuff, really, but sometimes putting three not terribly interesting things together makes something awesome. Like s'mores. That's right, everyone, you're all getting a text telling you to drop by the kitchen, where Axel will be tending a little fire. Don't worry, it's magic, so we're not gonna get smoked out. Chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers will be provided, but we don't have any sticks, sorry. Guess you'll have to roast your marshmallows on a fork.

[Axel looks caught somewhere between deep contemplation and outright indignation. He's also occasionally prodding at a shiny new eyebrow piercing he got on one of the waystations; it's his newest fidget, it seems.]

So is anybody else just dying to know whatever it is we shouldn't do no matter what? 'Cuz, I mean... I think that's a pretty important detail, and I personally would really like some clarification. Just to be safe, I've quarantined all the teriyaki anything on the Tourist.

[Actually, he took a page from Fenris' book and jettisoned it out the airlock. Can't be too careful.]

Has anybody's kitchen exploded or anything? Ugh, the teriyaki was the best flavor, too.
