[ It's been about two weeks since Ramse first met Sascha and he figures the kid's probably hungry again. But after all that talk of venom, he's doing things his way. He's talked his way into some medical equipment and draws his own blood into a thermos he bought on the space station, then sends Sascha a private message:

Sascha, meet me outside the Starstruck again.

That should be curiosity-inducing enough to get the puppypire to scoot on over.

[ It definitely, most certainly is. Sascha so rarely gets messages from other people, and even more rarely telling him to come visit them that he's all too eager to reply. ]

Okay! I'm on my waaaaaay!

[ He won't run, but he definitely won't take any detours along the way. ]

[ Ramse's outside, not holding anything besides his communicator, which he's futzing with -- just reading the network, nothing exciting. He spots Sascha coming toward him and sticks it into his pocket. ]

Hey. I've got something for you.

[pneumo]

...?? You do?? [ Well cue the shock because it's as plain as day on his face now as he blinks. He expected to talk, maybe be asked to show him some more restaurants or something. Not a gift. ]

[ And he's leading Sascha onto his own ship. Don't mind all the blood still left in the cargo bay, it's dog blood, not human. They managed to clean most of it out but there's still some in the grills and such.

Do de do and further into the ship, towards the bunk rooms. And into Ramse's. He's ushering Sasha in and closing the door. ]

[Bigby turns up after Sascha has left. He's not smoking, which is unusual, but he's been following the scent back and picking one scent with the mess of the station isn't easy.

He murmurs a soft thanks to the air and strides his way through the ship, just like he belongs there. He stops when he reaches a door, thumping on it solidly.]

[ No question whose door that is. Ramse quirks an eyebrow and stands from where he was resting in bed to open it.

And there stands a guy he's never seen.

Uh. ]

Yeah?

[pneumo]

[ But...dog blood.... It smells so good out there, can't he just lick it off the floor a little? ]

...Did something happen out there?

[bb_wolf]

[Bigby is, in many ways, unremarkable. He's solidly built, but hardly a mass of muscle. He's not quite what many people would call average height and there's an aura of menace about him at odds to his surprisingly normal appearance.]

I'm here about Sascha.

Yeah, Max hit a dog on the station and brought it back... Don't lick the floor on your way out.

[ He knows what you're thinking. ]

Hopefully you won't have to.

[ Have the thermos. If Sascha is observant he'll notice that Ramse's sleeve is rolled up and his elbow is wrapped, right above a carved VII symbol. ]

[ He's not letting you in yet. What exactly do you want? ]

Yeah. Bigby.

I'm making sure you're not doing something stupid with Sascha. Because he's an idiot who doesn't think anything through and I don't know you.

What's 'something stupid'? I just fed him.

[ But he's letting Bigby in because he doesn't want this conversation overheard just yet. ]

Is there some reason I shouldn't?

[pneumo]

[ sob ]

...? I don't drink coffee. [ That's what he's assuming the thermos is full of for the moment, even if his eyes do automatically go to the exposed arm, curious. ]

It's not coffee.

Th...then what is it...? [ No...it can't be, can it??? ]

[ He's gonna sit down and have some more juice if you don't mind. ]

[Which was what Bigby wanted from the start. He stepped in, taking in details fast and turning to face the stranger.]

I know. I smelt it on him. Something stupid is letting him near your throat, because I watched him eat an entire roast raw because he didn't have the impulse control to wait until he wasn't in public.

[ Ramse's sitting back down and sipping juice as he listens. Does he look stupid? Because he's not. ]

I didn't let him bite me, I drew the blood with a med kit.

[Bigby relaxes ever so slightly.]

A lot of people get stupid notions about vampires. I don't know you. I wanted to check. Because he could hurt a human without meaning to.

[He's not protecting Sascha from himself. He just doesn't want to deal with Sascha's tears making his fur grimy.]

My notion was that I didn't want to deal with the venom he talked about. And I've seen him eat once before, he can really tear into things. I've got enough scars. [ Realtalk tho. ] But I also can't watch anyone go hungry when there's something I can do. And no one else here is feeding him... this seemed to work.

You do know he's always hungry, right?

[Bigby's fairly sure it isn't a lack of blood. It's something else in Sascha, that just hungers.]

You're being safe, it's not my business. I just wanted to know I wasn't going to be cleaning up bodies. Not that I think he'd leave much of a body if he got going.

...I didn't. But there's a difference between being hungry and going hungry. It's been two weeks since I last fed him, he needs to eat sometimes.

[ It's concerning, but Ramse's still pretty sure he's got a handle on things. For now, anyway. ]

There won't be a body or a lack of one. I'm armed. I had my gun on him the whole time in case he flipped out at human blood or something.

He eats. Bloodied meat, mostly, from what I've seen.

[There's a brief twitch of Bigby's mouth that might be amusement.]

Of course. You had your gun.

That's what I got him last time.... what. You don't think a gun will be enough?

I don't know. But I doubt it. Most creatures like him shrug off a bullet like it's nothing. Hollow point might slow him down.
