[She then straightens up and walks over to Max. Rocky follows after her, taking a seat nearby. She watches Max tinker away for a little bit, listening to him mumbling to himself like a weirdo, before she clears her throat a little, letting him know she's here.]
Whatever you take apart, make sure you know how to put it back together.
[Not that she doesn't trust Max's expertise, more so that she can't resist taking a little, teasing jab at him.]
Action
... Ah.
[For a moment, he wasn't sure what she was talking about.
But he shrugs.]
Not taking anything apart. Just remembering.
no subject
Remembering? Remembering what?
no subject
Remembering... ahm. [He stops, as if unsure what to say.] Need to remember home. The cars. Keep my mind... sharper.
no subject
{Wanda naturally looks a bit confused. This is the first time she can recall Max talking about his home. Not about his past, but about where he's from.]
And the shuttles, they are similar then to the cars from where you are from?
no subject
[Well, that's a given. He twists a bit where he is to look at her.]
Lot more parts in shuttles. Cars're... simpler.
[And for that reason, he likes them fifty times more.
... Not that he's not good to his shuttle.]
no subject
[She does not mean to sound sarcastic or cynical, merely curious. She has never had a desire to tinker with the insides of any vehicles, so she finds Max's activities to be rather intriguing.]
no subject
A refresher? That's a simple but effective way of explaining it.
Eventually he wets his lips, nods.]
... Keeps my hands busy.
no subject
And what have you been able to put together? As far as, how these shuttles operate?
no subject
Not much. Just high technology. Only reason I understand is....
[He taps his augment. Tap, tap.]
Last place I was... Hm. Messed with your head, too.
no subject
I can not imagine it ever gets comfortable. The feeling of someone else playing in your head.
[The way she says these words, there is almost a touch of guilt to them.]
no subject
M'used to it.
[He's also a madman, as far as he's concerned.
So he's used to his own mind playing tricks on itself.]
Never had that before now? The feeling.
no subject
Not quite like this, no.
no subject
Not quite?
no subject
These things that I can do. They did not come to me naturally.
no subject
Superhuman.
Met a lot of people with -- powers.

Since arriving her, I have come to understand that something that would be considered much more unique back home can be commonplace elsewhere.
[She orbits the tool around her hand casually, eventually getting bored, and softly returning to the ground next to her.]
It seems the way that everyone comes by their abilities can vary significantly.
no subject
Isn't normal in my world.
... Guess someone could get radioactive enough. Dunno.
no subject
no subject
He looks surprised, a little off-guard.]
Ahm. Did I...
[... Say something weird...]
no subject
No, no, I am sorry. I should not have laughed at that. You were just so... so serious about it...
[She coughs, catches her breath. Tries her apology again.]
I apologize for laughing.
no subject
[mean for it to be funny, but. alright.
He looks mildly pleased, anyway, as if the accidental giggle fit has calmed him.]
It's good to laugh, sometimes.
[Says the man who never laughs.]
no subject
You should try it sometime.
no subject
... I don't...
It's not my -- way... of things.
[look at this useless sour potato]
no subject
Perhaps you are just out of practice.
