[You might notice there's an extra shuttle docked with the Pathstone today, and along with it one red-haired wizard casually strolling through your ship.

He's looking for a certain faildemon, but he could run into anyone. Who knows.]

[Cole appears from a shadow cast by a doorway, a pale face peeking out.]

[Cole nods, watching with those strange, pale eyes.]

It's not like Thedas magic.

[That, at least, is a point he follow on some level of clarity, and he nods in return.]

No...no not quite. It's always different, from world to world. It's the nature of what magic is. [He gives Cole a narrow look. He could elaborate, but it's not something he does without prompting to people who don't understand it. But to know what he is without asking means he might.]

How can you tell?

You don't have the Fade clinging to you. It's something else. Something... hm.

[He moves to lean against the wall; his right side, like always]

I don't know where it comes from either. Some would simply call it the world of the spirit, but some don't even believe such a thing exists at all.

Is this something you can see? Feel?

You don't really want me to answer that. But you do. It's confusing.

But that's the curse of all knowledge, isn't it? To know is to be enlightened, but to know is often a burden.

[He's uneasy, and it's not something he can keep out of his face. Neither has he said for sure he still doesn't want to know. He leaves that up to Cole's whim.]

There was a boy who knew the truth and always had to speak it. He wished to be able to stop it and only then learned the true curse. To know and have to decide if he would speak, or hold his tongue.

[ It's probably best not to ask what he's talking about and just take the moral of the story. Whatever that might be. Maybe just acknowledging that the truth is a heavy burden.]
