Also, thanks to Kate, we now have a SWEARS AND ATTITUDES JAR displayed prominently in the kitchen. Whenever someone's being naughty instead of nice, they're compelled to deposit a few credits (or at least an iou) into the awaiting jar.

[Luke laughs.] I hope not! I'm not a big fan of cigars.

[He turns to face her-] What's celery?

They're an acquired taste. The cigars, not celery. Well, maybe celery too. It's a vegetable.

I didn't know you were on his ship. [As if that's something Logan would chat about. Well... She still makes assumptions of him based on her world's version at least.]

Oh, I guess you're a friend of Logan? [Luke says, like Logan is someone with a wide social circle.] I'm on this ship. I'm the captain, actually...

Oh, really? Is he a... a 'mutant' too? [It still feels, to Luke, like it's an insult, to call someone else that. But he doesn't know how else to describe the claws.]

[She couldn't especially see him feeling the need to keep it a secret. She hopes that instinct's right.] Yep. He was the one who trained me. Well, a version of him.

Oh, that does that mean... can you do the... [He makes a vague gesture with his hand, as though something is growing out of the back of his fist.]

[She leans back, looking very amused at you right now, Luke.] I'm going to assume you're asking me if claws pop out of my hands and not trying to gesture something dirty.

No. [She tilts her head with a smirk.] But I did have strap-ons until the Atroma decided I shouldn't. [Which is something she's working on reobtaining.] He doesn't have my power either. [And it doesn't come in strap-on form.]

[Luke goes slightly pink.]

No! No, I meant the... claws... [What is she implying oh god change of subject-] I- I can't see Logan phasing through things. He seems like the type to punch through walls.

[She smirks a bit more seeing she made him nervous. The confidence. The amusement. It sets her all up for casual remarks she isn't actually ready to make.]

Punching through walls was more Pio... [Yeah, she's just stopping abruptly there and looking away. Best not to speak of Colossus considering how things ended.] Um, he claws his way through sometimes.

[Luke reaches out to pat her shoulder. He doesn't know her well enough to ask, so he just whispers a quiet,] I'm sorry.

[If she doesn't want to linger on it, he won't either.] Will you be visiting often? We could set up a guest space for you... somewhere. We're a little pressed for space, but...

[She looks up in surprise at the touch, but she doesn't flinch away or phase for his hand to fall through her which is something. But as long as he doesn't ask she's not going to explain it more.] I don't know how often, but I don't need anything. [How are you real, Luke?] Surprising that the new ship is already cramped though.

[Luke sighs.] We're all on bunkbeds-- except Logan, of course. It feels like when I was a pilot. Sometimes I'd sleep in the cockpit, because there was more room there than in the barracks. [Also, it was a tad warmer.]

Except Logan of course? [And you're the captain, so if it's the same here as her ship...] He stole your bed? [She shouldn't find that amusing, right?]
