Oh, magic.

That's so cool. Yeah, I don't think we have anything like that. I kind of wonder if mine is weirder cause we don't? Like there are people who can do special things from Vision's home and a lot of other ones...

Yeah but Vision's not magic. I'd be able to tell if he was. Same with Kitty. There's science and stuff with them.

Wow, you can tell? That's so cool!

Yeah, I can usually tell if they're using white or black magic too, so I know if we gotta watch out for someone.

There's different colors of magic? Is there pink magic? [Most important question, obvs.]

I dunno.

[She shrugs.]

Might be. The only colors I know are white, black, and green, but that don't mean that there aren't any others.

What do different colors of magic do?

Wow, I wish I had pink magic. That would be so cool.

Black magic is for death and destruction, white magic for life and creation, and green magic is for nature and growth.

[She tilts her head.]

I don't know what pink magic would be for, if it exists. Love maybe?

Love and cute things maybe? Art?

[She snorts.]

I don't think any of us were very good at those things, even without magic. Maybe it's why we never discovered pink magic.

Well, I guess someone has to be the first to work on that stuff, right?

[Aw, she wishes she had magic. Or mutant powers like Charles. But she's just Wrath.]

I guess so. I just wish I knew more about all this. Miss Cordelia was teachin' me but it wasn't enough time.

Is magic hard to learn? Is it the kind of thing you can teach yourself? Or like... I know there are a lot of other people in the fleet that could teach combat and stuff I know. Magic is... probably way harder and more special, but maybe there are other people who know it around?

There are, but everybody's magic works differently, based on what world they're from. I've figured out some stuff on my own though!

Oh, that's really good! I'm glad you can figure stuff out. It might be slower but I bet you'll be good at it.

You really think so? I never was that good in school, you know, but Vision's teaching me about the scientific method. Which I guess maybe's weird to use for magic, but I think it does help.

There's a lot of ways to learn outside of school and... I dunno. I don't really remember school? But I've learned plenty since then, so I bet you'll learn even more. That's really cool, though. Let's you think about things differently, maybe?

[She nods.] Yeah, that's it exactly! I don't have a spellbook to tell me what to do, so the scientific method helps me discover them on my own. And Vision's not like my teachers in high school. He's... patient and kind.

He really is. We have such a good captain. I guess your teachers in school sucked?

[She nods.] I don't like to talk about them much though.

That's okay. You don't have to talk about stuff if you don't wanna.

Thanks. Maybe one day I'll get there but... I'd rather think about here than there.

Yeah, I get that. I think it's way nicer here than at home, too. I only really talk about the nice parts of Proles. I only mention the bad shit when I have to so that something I said will make sense.

Oh yeah, I know all about that. Some things I think are normal make me look right damn crazy to people here.

Me too. I've had to explain to lots of people about vat protein and uterine replicators and body modding. And it seems so normal to me.
