[In light of certain updates from certain hunters, Nami is trying really, really hard not to take her impressive temper out on the person who's effectively her roommate on the Bloodsport. But being angry and trying to convince yourself not to lash out at someone you think may deserve it but might not so let's be nice about it doesn't really help your mood any. Nami doesn't want to lay into Cas. So Nami avoids Cas. Just for a little while. Because she respects their friendship enough not to damage it in a fit of anger, but also because she thinks trying to punch an angel might be bad for her hand. You know.

So Nami is avoiding the Bloodsport. Which isn't that hard when you've somehow found yourself working at both bars on the Iskaulit. She pulls all the extra shifts she can, keeps busy, works her temper off in fits and starts, and devotes some of her extra time to visiting the gardens to see how her mikan saplings are going, and generally explores what the Iskaulit has to offer.

Really, you can find her drinking at a bar, behind a bar, or anywhere else on the ship. Pick your poison.]

[Today she's not working but lurking at the bar anyway, picking away at snacks and going through her comm and trying to find ways to waste time. So. Lucky network, have a bored navigator.]

Paradisa. Adstringendum. Luceti. [Kyriakos, she nearly adds, but nobody's officially given her that one.] They're all fun places, so I hear. Are there others? I'm curious to see if they have anything in common.

[HE TRIES. And he smiles at the approval. Ninjas are okay but pirates are just rad man]

Yeah, about a year and a half now.

[They are totally the best.

She hesitates a moment, but a little more tentatively:]

You don't have to answer if you'd rather not, because I'd understand why. But... has anyone died during that time that you know of? I'm not just asking for fun.

Um...

[A pause as he has to think about it]

...Maybe? There was this one time that sounded like it could've been a death- but I think it was more a close call than anything else. [IT WAS ALL VERY VAGUE]

Why are you asking?

I'm trying to draw correlations. The easiest answer, anyway. In Adstring, people who died would come back again after a few days. I know one of the other places did, too. And the Fleet seems to hold other things in common with those areas, so I wondered...

[She smiles a little.] I promise I'm not thinking of tossing anyone out an airlock.

Ah...yeah. Paradisa would bring a person back after two weeks.

I didn't think you were! It's possible people come back here, but we won't know for sure until it happens. [...] Though...I'll keep hoping our luck holds and we won't have to find out.

[She laughs softly at that, not much humour, but she appreciates the thought.] Yeah, I'd rather we never had to test that theory.

So Paradisa too, huh? Did people also go home and find no time had passed there?

Mm, they did. I know I went home a couple times for a little bit, usually after a head injury. [Wait that sounds bad] That's how I grew a few inches too, so I know I didn't hallucinate it either!

[She grins at the qualifier. Probably a good one to add.]

Sounds like you at least got to spend some time back home again, unless you shot up overnight. Coming back again and again sounds frustrating.

It was a little frustrating, yeah. Especially when I couldn't remember a thing about the castle while I was back in my world. [Since man, if he had retained that knowledge well...he'd probably have a few less stab wounds on him]

Also something in common, I notice. My chef went home for a while from Adstring, same thing happened. There's too much in common for these places to just exist side by side as a coincidence.

Yeah....it's a little worrying.

But what could it mean?

Well, it could mean one of these places is in charge of all the others. The Atroma, for example. The Fleet is reality television, but you have your other places with wars and prisons and weird stuff going on... that'd make for compelling viewing too, right?

Or there's something else above all of it.
