The HS Maldua

[Well, it's finally happened. The Maldua has docked and now is your chance to deliver your gumball cargo--regardless of whether or not it's in perfect condition, it would seem.

Multiple ships can dock on the Maldua at once, as can individual shuttles. So whether you're helping, breaking things, or watching others do all the work--interaction can be between pretty much anyone, not just crews.

Here's the event post, for reference. Have fun!]

[Well, if she insists. He reaches out and lays a hand on her head lightly. What a turn this day has taken.]

I'm guessing you can't speak like that. Can you fly with those?

[Or are the wings simply for looks.]
brainiest: (make a dragon wanna retire)

[ She doesn't mean to purr, not really, it's just been quite a long time since anyone... Petted her. Which sounds strange, but the last person to do it was practically her baby brother, so that hardly counted.

At his question, she moved away and flexed her wings before she moved and leapt forward, lifting herself into the air and hovering there for a moment. It was obviously awkward for her, and a little uncomfortable - it had been a while - but she managed it before she settled down again, waiting until she was all four feet on the ground to turn back to herself. ]

If lionesses had vocal chords I'd be set, really.
grandstanding: (Well aren't you special.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-03-30 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
[He folds his arms when she rises into the air, watching with sincere interest. It doesn't rank among the most fantastical of sights he's ever seen, but it's impressive nonetheless.]

There probably isn't much call to talk, when you're a lion. It's a very unique form.
brainiest: (being compared to beyonce)

[ She stretches her arms out, wiggling her fingers and making herself comfortable in her own skin before she hums and nods. ]

No, not really. Most people tend to run in the other direction. [ And some people spend half an hour petting her behind the ears. ] I'll have to work on trying to speak English.
grandstanding: (Floating Head Villain.)

Or devise some kind of sign language. Thank you for showing me.
brainiest: (one more time)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-04-02 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you for letting me show you.

[ And it's strange, how much she obviously means that. ]

If you ever need a shirt transfigured or food summoned let me know.
grandstanding: (Uh ... huuuuh.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-04-02 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, certainly, but you may have to explain what 'transfigured' entails.
brainiest: (or whatever)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-04-02 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oh!

[ It takes her a second, but she reaches up and tugs a plastic hairpin from the mess of her brown curls, holding it out before she focusses and reshapes it with a little bit of wandless magic - it turns into a little metallic celtic knot, a gift she holds out for Erik. ]

Turning one thing into another with magic.
grandstanding: (And you're asking yourself why.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-04-02 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
[How odd, to feel it suddenly spring to life in his senses when it changed. He's fascinated, and reaches out to take the knot, turning it over in his hand.]

Impressive. I'll be sure to come to you when I get tired of my shirt colours.
brainiest: (no see how cute i am)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-04-02 12:01 pm (UTC)(link)
You wouldn't be the first.

[ She fights back her grin, crossing her arms over her chest. ]

You can keep that, too.
grandstanding: (More bang for your buck.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-04-02 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I won't be leaving you short a hairpin, will I?

[But he nods in thanks. Glancing at his other hand, he frowns and takes apart the rod of gears he'd made, the whole lot returning to a collection of separate pieces.]

You're welcome to these.
brainiest: (friendly conversation)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-04-03 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sure I'll manage.

[ She grins, leaning forward to look at the gears before she considers for a moment, picking one up and holding it. ]

Then this, here, can be a token of us becoming friends. That's how it works.
grandstanding: (Don't do what you'll regret)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-04-04 11:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Why do young women keep insisting on friendship with him? He may never understand. Her comment seems to perplex him for a moment, but he smooths it over.]

I feel like I've shortchanged you by doing nothing to make that.
brainiest: (friendly conversation)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-04-04 11:38 am (UTC)(link)
[ Because friendship is important, and also magic. That's the rule. ]

You got it out of the... Robot. I think that counts.

[ And it does to her - and it's more the fact that she can nudge him into friendship than anything else. The gear is just a bonus. ]
grandstanding: (I can't stand this indecision)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-04-04 12:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Well. If you ever want it engraved, you can come find me.
brainiest: (hot damn)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-04-05 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Watching him, she raises her eyebrow before she grins, fighting her laugh. ]

In exchange for shirt colours, right?
grandstanding: (The heart of this town has grown cold.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-04-06 09:34 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds like a fair trade.
