[As is common with new arrivals, there are a few very confused moments of waking up and scrambling around before the Fleet's newest arrival manages to find and switch off the nearest camera.

About half an hour later and significantly less panicked-looking, he switches it back on. Some quality time spent with his augment answered the pressing questions, like where am I and why aren't there any weapons here, and that he's not going to get an answer to are my friends okay without a little further input from him. So. If they're here, he reasons, they'll recognize him.]

Shouldn't there be more people here? Or do I get to be the only lucky winner this week?

The name's Finn. There are people on the other ships out there, right?

[Look it's very lonely on the Marsiva right now.]

[Finn rubs his face with one hand, looking frustrated.]

Knew I couldn't be done with that type.

Who was that type before?

[Finn freezes his gesture and then forces himself to look nonchalant and shrug.]

There was this...commander. An enemy commander. He caught two of my friends and tortured them for information. And then he--

[He grimaces again, this time in phantom pain.]

Well, he's the reason I gotta get checked out by medical before I do any heavy lifting.

[There's a sympathetic kind of look she tends to share with other people who wouldn't be around if they hadn't been mysteriously abducted. It's not really a small club, but she's not sure what the rules are in this place. Right before death? After?]

Any lifting is something. Did your friends get away?

[The worst part is he doesn't know. Not for sure.]

I hope so. But it didn't look too good.

Maybe someone here will be from a time after you and they can fill you in. [Is this a weird thing to hope for?]

[Judging by how he perks up at the suggestion, it's not that weird at all.]

Maybe. I just want to know Rey's all right.

For what it's worth, I hope she is.

Not worried about your other kidnapped friend?

[Finn rubs the back of his neck.] Thanks.

Actually, I'm not. Probably should be, but Poe was already in the air and on his way back. And I know he can handle himself in a ship. When he was--when he was captured, it was a long time before. This time he was helping me break Rey out.

Makes sense. [She didn't realize they were separate events.] Well, for better or worse, the only one you can possibly get out of an abduction situation now is yourself. Or all of us too I guess. [She does tend to worry about the others before herself though it's only recently settling in here as she forms attachments. Her direction less clear than when she arrived.]

[He wasn't exactly clear about it.]

Huh. Yeah, I guess I gotta help get us out before I can go back. I can't leave all the Jedi here when we need them back home.

Perfect. You rescue everyone while I take a nap. Ring me when we're all set. [She's teasing, but she does admire his spirit.]

[He catches the humor, at least, and grins.]

Sure, make the new guy do all the heavy lifting. I see how it is.

[Smiling back.] I have almost two months of seniority over you. My hands are tied.

[That brings up a good question, actually.]

Are there some people who've been here a lot longer?

Allen's been here over a year, but he's not in the answering questions business. [Totally shot her down.]

I think that counts.

[So it might be a long time before he can find a way back, if he plays by their rules? Fine, he'll just have to figure something else out.]

I got the impression that was about the beginning of things.

Unless they're wrapping it up soon, that gives us a good idea how long we can expect to be here.

They are still bringing people in fast enough that it seems strange they'd be thinking of calling it quits. Then again there was some lag before you showed up.

Huh. Maybe they're doing some kind of test?

I haven't really been here long enough to tell if it's even an abnormality or just a pattern they have.

All right. I guess we'll know if more people show up after me?

It'll be something at least. More data to collect. Which is either helpful or a giant waste of time.

Probably helpful for somebody, even if we don't figure it out.
