If anyone's looking for Nomi Sunrider, it seems that Atroma's sent her home.

[There's kind of a pause--wondering if she should say something more? It's not like Nomi's dead. Just back where she was meant to be, honestly, it's a good thing.]

Hopefully this doesn't mess with the timeline--you know, any more than it has been already. [...] So if you need any Ancient Jedi wisdom, it's back to just me.

[Vima smiles a little when she senses Stefan's presence on the ship, and she's in the kitchen to greet him--which is apt, because it looks like he brought appropriate remedy.]

I'm... I don't know. I know she'll be okay, because of the timeline, but... [she shrugs.] It's jarring, when you feel someone wink out like that.

She's your mom, Vi. You're allowed to feel frustrated and not-okay.

[With that, he opens up the box and slides it her way. It's nothing fancy: extra sugar cookies and ma'amoul, but he's dusted them with a little extra sugar as a pick-me-up.]

Frustrated is definitely the word for it. [She leans forward to look into the box.] I was really looking forward to having... just a good relationship with her. Learning from her.

[She takes one of the ma'amoul.]

And maybe teaching her some things I've learned here, too. Like baking.

And you will. [He has his doubts about where they go, but... hope's a good thing to have.] Maybe not now, but the next time you see her--

Hang on. Is baking really that uncommon in your galaxy?

[She laughs a little.]

No, there's plenty of baking. I just haven't done a lot of cooking at all--we had a housekeeper droid when I was little, and other droids to take care of it when my mom became a Jedi. It's nice, knowing how to do it for yourself.

Plus you don't have to rely on them for every little thing. I don't know about you, but I sure can't fix a droid when it goes haywire.

Haywire droids are always bad news, one way or another. [especially when they've been reprogrammed by your enemies.] I don't think they know ma'amoul, anyway.

[stefanged]

They don't? [He presses his hand to his chest, all dramatic-like.] Where are their priorities, Vi? That's the first thing a kid learns.

[She laughs a little.]

That must have been the problem all this time--the wrong kind of baking. Galactic history'd have been better off if we knew how to do this.

[okay so there are probably planets with a space equivalent.]

...I appreciate this, though. Really.

Hey, you're my — ["little sister." He falters, staring down at the box of ma'amoul before grabbing one out of the box.] You're my Sunrider.

If you want to talk, or just gorge on cookies all day, you know how to reach me.

[Was he gonna say something else? Vima gives him a curious look for a second.]

I might be the only one left here, but I would be no matter how many Sunriders show up. [though apart from Nomi, it'd have to be future ones.] And if you ever need someone to bring you cookies and ma'amoul, I'll be right there.

[Vima's descendants. Now there's a thought Stefan never wanted in his head.]

Heh, you'd better. [He bridges the distance between them so that he can brush her bangs away and kiss her forehead.] I'm starting to think you might surpass me in the kitchen.

Heh, I don't think you need to worry about that just yet. You've still got years of experience on me.

I'm glad you're letting me think that.

[He snorts, finally helping himself to that ma'amoul. Mm, it tastes better than usual.]
