[Y'all, Misty can't be the only one who hates this place, so let's all gather on the Iskaulit, safe from all that dark and rot down on the polluted moon and have ourselves a good time!

It definitely seems like you've had some big challenges. [Like the chair.]

We were lucky to find a way to work through them.

[ He doubts it could have ever happened back home. ]

Yeah, even with the work, it can be hard to make things happen without some of the luck. [The right timing. The right words. Something.]

It's hard to hear about him being the X-Men's enemy in other worlds.

I don't think I've ever called him that.

[ Thought Charles has definitely called Erik many unflattering things. ]

We have very different . . . ideologies.

[She nods.] He means a lot to all of us back home. I don't know where we would have been without him. No where good. He took me in when I'd lost everything. [There's definitely some looking up to him like a father, but he had to share that with Logan and the father she lost.]

[ It is a little odd to hear Erik in such a manner - but Erik's always been good at taking care of his team, so it wasn't that much of a stretch. ]

Erik's priority has always been mutants.

I feel like there's a lot left out of that statement.

We were trying to save the humans too.

[ He nods. ]

I'm sure.

[ He remembers that briefly of the future Erik as well. ]

Good, because that was important. ...My parents were human.

So was mine.

[She nods.] Are they...gone? [Not here obviously, but also not living back home?]

For some time now.

[ He certainly never harbored any strong feelings for them, though he can appreciate what they did do. ]

I'm sorry. [It was a devastating loss in her own life and still affects her.]

We weren't very close. Though I never lacked in anything and that was enough for all of us.

Maybe that's the part that deserves the condolences. I guess if you didn't mind... [It sounds sad to her though.]

I'm really the last person people should feel bad for.

[ Especially when it came to childhood circumstances. ]

I'll update my list of people to feel bad for, but don't mind me okay? I have orphan issues I guess.

[It was a pretty tragic, defining moment which would just be the first of many such moments.]

But I had the X-Men. Logan trained me. Watched out for me. Everyone did. I was the youngest for awhile.

. . . That was the idea. It's why I wanted to found the school.
