Good afternoon, Fleet, I’m Dr. Crusher, of the Blue Fish, [She gestures a hand towards Wrath] this is Wrath, of the Windrose, and we have an important request of our fellow fleet members. Wrath needs to undergo complicated back surgery, involving the removal of cybernetic implants. I have the skills and done the research necessary in order to do this, but I do not have the facilities or all of the equipment that I need. If anyone with medical, engineering, or computer knowledge would be willing to help us construct a surgical suite, I would, of course, compensate you for your time and energy. Please send us any questions you may have and thank you!

[Wrath waves and grins. She's leaning on her familiar cane.] Hi everyone! Um! Like Dr. Crusher said, I really appreciate any help, it'd be great to be back up to full effectiveness and kicking ass! This is so great, I never thought this injury could get fixed so I'm really... just hopeful. So thank you everybody.

And uh. It'd probably also be good to have someone who can talk to the nanobots that regulate my bone growth and muscle fibers. Cuz my old doctor put a governor on the muscles so I wouldn't hurt myself, but once my back is fixed I should get retuned to full speed.

I'll definitely compensate anyone for help too!

I'm not sure how talking to them works. They always just used a little machine in the hospital...

Ordis is...not certain he should be engaging in any sort of strenuous activity, regardless of the level of ease.

Ordis is perfectly healthy. This body has not shown any signs of deterioration. [Yes, that's exactly what healthy means.]

Who is this 'Beverly' that you speak of, however?

Being in shape isn't the same as not being sick. Your body's probably all new and floppy and you need to start building muscles from the ground up and stuff! That's what happened to Delta.

Dr. Crusher is the other lady on the video. She's the best doctor ever.

Ordis has found no issues thusfar, beyond the body's inconvienent need to rest and consume nutrients on a regular basis.

A doctor? For humans, yes?

But sleeping is awesome. And food! Food can be great! I mean, it doesn't have to taste good, but when it does that's awesome. But wait til you try out sex, that's the best.

I think she doctors more than humans, actually. You'd have to ask her though.

....Ordis will take your words on all of these things. Especially the last two. He finds it difficult enough that this body needs to be re-calibrated and rebooted for so many hours every night and that it is terribly inefficient with its nutritional intake.

Hm. But that is interesting. Ordis will attempt to contact this 'Beverly' at a future point.

You shouldn't just take my word for stuff though. Like. You have a body. Try stuff out. Not all at once, but it's good to have new experiences and stuff. Just be careful! But I think you'll have a lot of fun.

Yeah, eating's a pain in the ass sometimes, but just get some rat bars or something.

It is a very new, if somewhat novel, experience for Ordis at least. But Ordis does not think that he will engage in many of those activities. Ordis is here to be useful, not to have time to himself.

Part of working hard is having leave time. Like... you have to have down time that's just for you or you'll lose your effectiveness no matter how much you like your job. So don't be too hard on yourself.

I don't think so? I mean we could if we had a food shortage. I meant ration bars though.

Leave...time? This is not a statement that Ordis knows; there is no time to leave, things always need to be done, there are always threats that must be dealt with. Ordis must always function at peak condition to ensure that the Operator is well served.

Rations. Various foodstuffs then?

Well, it's a good new concept for you to learn now. Because you gotta do the best you can and then not kill yourself doing the things you can't. Because if you're dead then nothing at all gets done.

They're not really... various. Like. This big. [Hand gesture.] And it's basically just all the daily calories, protein, and vitamins packed into one bar. Kind of tastes like eating chalk. But it keeps you alive. That's basically what we ate out on the Line when the regular rations ran out.

Ordis will not be dead. Ordis has work to do.

The Battle of the Line was a thing on my planet. We held the line around our city for over a year so the dome could be completed. It was rough.

That's really nice of you to say. I wish it was true. But I got medically discharged from the army. I'm not fit to serve... until Dr. Crusher fixes my back.
