Who: two nerds and you
Broadcast: fleetwide
Action: Marsiva
When: now!
[ The audio comes on sharply, but everything is still dark as two people discuss their situation.]
Is that the camera? Can you get it to work?
I - think so? Here, push this --
I am pushing it, Hank. I thought you knew about these from that show you keep watching. Space Trek?
It's Star Trek and that isn't exactly - you know, the same thing as this.
Right. . . . Wait, I think I see something on the side.
[ And the video flickers on, the red light glowing softly. It focuses on two men. One in a wheelchair and the other right next to him, peering curiously at the camera before they step back satisfied. ]
Well, that’s over and done with. Hello to anyone who might be out there. My name is Charles Xavier and this is Hank McCoy. Apparently we’ve been kidnapped again, by an unknown force again for some mysterious reason.
[muttered:] Again. [and louder] So if anyone would be kind enough to explain exactly what's going on, we'd appreciate it. You have our thanks in advance.
But do keep it pertinent.

Re: [video]
But it's not her. He doesn't need telepathy to tell him that, but seeing someone else looking like her was so jarring that for a few minutes, he doesn't reply. In a dry, even tone. ]
We all have to start somewhere.
Apparently. I assume you are getting more than enough information from others who have contacted you so far, [After all the X-Men couldn't be far off wanting to cling to his coattails, if they haven't already. He did have a way of attracting weak minds. No wonder he and Erik use to be friends, both had a manner to them that forced people to follow them.] But I will add that so far it seems pointless. No one knows anything for sure, most are as ignorant as the day they arrived here.
Re: [video]
[ His voice is firm on that point. ]
But I certainly do not expect certainty in a place like this. It can only be experienced.

Re: [video]
I'm not quite the Charles Xavier you're familiar with.

Re: [video]
[ It hurts. It has never stopped hurting, even though they parted amicably. Raven will never be a part of his life again and he has himself to blame there. ]

Re: [video]
Is this what you've chosen? To be alone, regardless of connections?
And what connections would those be?
Re: [video]
Personal connections. Familial ones, perhaps.
Why don't you leave that up to Rogue and Kurt instead of meddling in the middle of it? [Rogue had already made her feelings clear on where she stood. Even Xavier, no matter what whatever form he was in, couldn't change her mind. The end of the world couldn't change her mind, the girl was stubborn. Almost as stubborn as Mystique.]

Yes, well - [he clears his throat] It helps to know what everyone else does.

[Yet Mystique was unable to help herself for too long.] You look a little different from the last time I saw 'you'.

And he was hoping to avoid that - foolishly hoping, but - he mentally braces himself for - . . . he isn't sure] I . . . could say the same thing about "you", too.

I do hope this wasn't a choice of yours, McCoy, because I can't say it's an improvement. [Then again, this came from a woman who was violently proud of her mutation, and willing to tear the throat out of anyone who said otherwise about her.]
no subject
Of course it was my choice. But it isn't - it's temporary. Give it a few hours and I'll look more familiar. [or it'll be sooner, depending on how all this goes. He sighs out, slow] So, is it Raven or Mystique?
no subject
Mystique, although I suppose I should give you some allowance for the fact you asked and didn't just assume. [Like others had so far. She did not like the idea of being compared to anyone, even other versions of herself.]
no subject
[he shrugs a shoulder, and gives her a long look] You're not her. I'm not so stupid as to automatically assume you are.

I wouldn't know. But surely you're capable of going five minutes without trying to insult me in some way. Especially considering I'm not the Hank McCoy you're familiar with.

The Hank McCoy and X-Men from my world serve only the purpose to distract Erik and his teams. They may contribute some benefit to mutantkind, but it's small minded and over all ineffective. [It was said as if it was a matter of fact, no room for argument either way.]
no subject
It isn't my place to say what Raven's doing back home, so you'll excuse me if I don't use your own tactic against you. But there's none of that for us - it's just me and Charles, trying to get his school open again. [he shrugs] It's only 1973, if that helps put a bigger emphasis on the differences.
