[Komaeda shows the stars before himself, arranging his bad arm one last time to make certain nothing is showing. It's a wasted effort- his hand is already tightly bundled up under multiple layers of bandage and clothing. He switches the view so he's fully visible.]

Hello, hello! What an interesting setting we're in now. I don't suppose Monokuma has given us any announcements to explain why it looks like we're in space?

[He smiles, eyebrows quirking up. It's an expression that seems to beg forgiveness, though there's a shadow of another expression, a colder one, behind his eyes. The combination of those two layered expressions reads as contempt, but is it just that?] And, goodness my, but it's quiet here. Have I been locked up again? In punishment? I promise you all, I did what I did in order to further you-

I'm glad to hear that. People are often unnerved at the sudden change, but it's good to take it all with a calm head.

[Komaeda smiles back brightly, but there's a certain quality to his smile that indicates that it's... filtered. It's like seeing light through a paper shade- there, certainly, but with a distance to it that lessens the warmth.]

Change isn't particularly something to be feared, is it? It's a completely natural part of life.

It's true. The ability to adapt to such change, and come out stronger is what makes people so amazing.

[As if the smile isn't enough, there's a flicker of something dark, something almost alien, in his eyes as he says that. But it's gone so quickly, and then he's smiling politely and bowing neatly, tidily, and offering,]

[At her words, he does seem to grow excited. If she's been here a while, she'll likely be able to answer questions on various things he uncovers, and... she does seem to understand, to some degree, his own passion towards hope.]

It's no trouble at all. I think it's important that we all help each other out. [after what happened recently, it seems like an important thing to mention from time to time]

After all, we're all stuck together. I think helping one another can be our own way of fighting back against our captors.

That's an excellent attitude to take! I whole-heartedly agree. By working together, I'm sure we can overcome any situation that would otherwise cow a less unified group! [Maaaaybe a little overenthusiastic on that response, but maybe just galvanized by group unity?]

I agree! If we can act as a unified front, there will be no chance for any situation to come about that would give rise to anything but hope!

I've never thought of it that way, but you're right... To not appreciate the hope that's around us, that's a sad thought.

And I'm also sorry if I offended you. I didn't mean to imply that appreciating hope is a bad thing, I think it's a wonderful thing to do. [she doesn't know the extent that he loves hope, but... eeeeh]

Oh, no, not at all, please don't misunderstand me. I think you seem to be a wonderful sort of person, actually. Even if you don't feel the same exact way about me about hope, I think you can definitely understand where I'm going with it, after all.
