[Komaeda shows the stars before himself, arranging his bad arm one last time to make certain nothing is showing. It's a wasted effort- his hand is already tightly bundled up under multiple layers of bandage and clothing. He switches the view so he's fully visible.]

Hello, hello! What an interesting setting we're in now. I don't suppose Monokuma has given us any announcements to explain why it looks like we're in space?

[He smiles, eyebrows quirking up. It's an expression that seems to beg forgiveness, though there's a shadow of another expression, a colder one, behind his eyes. The combination of those two layered expressions reads as contempt, but is it just that?] And, goodness my, but it's quiet here. Have I been locked up again? In punishment? I promise you all, I did what I did in order to further you-

... To further hope.

Well, then you don't know a lot of demons.

Right! I wouldn't argue with that, anyway. I certainly know less than a demon.

I wouldn't worry about it. We have immortality on our side. Long time to learn, and all that.

... And no pets? Really? Not, say, any hamsters?

Why would I want a hamster?

Why do you want a houseplant?

Because I like having houseplants. There's no ulterior motive here.

When you say there's no ulterior motive, though, doesn't it make it sound kind of like there actually is?

No. Because there isn't.

Even demons are allowed to like things, you know.

Well.... what is it that you like about houseplants, then?

[onlyanapple]

I just like them. That's it.

[hopefullyyours]

Do they make you feel soothed? Powerful? Or maybe sort of nurturing? And, are you
particularly good at raising them up?!

[onlyanapple]

I happen to raise exceptionally vibrant plants.

[hopefullyyours]

Is that so? Pardon me for saying it so bluntly, but you don't seem the type, somehow.

[onlyanapple]

Oh? And what type do I seem to you?

[Hamsters.]

Um. Maybe.... the kind of person that has a lot of pets. Cats, maybe, or something like that.

[onlyanapple]

I had a lot of cats in my old place. None were strictly mine, though.

[hopefullyyours]

['Cat lady,' he thinks, and smiles prettily.]

According to everything I've heard about them, aren't cats supposed to be like that anyway?

[onlyanapple]

Probably, I don't know, I don't care.

[He knows. He cares. ]

Just like with plants, right? You definitely seem like the kind of person who's honest and forthright about his interests. Aren't demons supposed to be hedonists or something like that?

[Komaeda stops abruptly, smile pausing and flickering on his face like an old ribbon tape paused. He doesn't usually go this strongly on the offensive unless he senses blood in the water, unless there's a critical flaw in logic he wants to eviscerate. The sudden rush of realizing that, of having that sense of pleasure in a conversation of all things, has made him stop suddenly, eyes sliding to the side.]

I- ... I'm sorry, I think that was too forward of me. Please forgive that kind of familiarity. [He feels a sudden rush of understanding, of feeling for Tsumiki and her constant fumbles. They never really were too dissimilar, after all, were they?]

[Crowley leans back, arching an eyebrow behind his sunglasses. ]

You talk a lot for such a tiny little human. A freakish amount.

And whatever you think demons are supposed to be, likely doesn't apply to me.

[He mumbles something about knowing somebody, but otherwise remains silent under the chastisement.]

I apologize for the imposition.

[He's always messing up at this, isn't he? Even with a guy who says he's a demon he can't really get the hang of introductions.]

[Crowley sits back.]

At least you didn't try to exorcise me. You're not the worst pain in the ass I've encountered for that fact alone.

Exorcise? I don't have any scriptures memorized, anyway, and it's not really my style, haha. I wouldn't know what cosmology to start with. [Komaeda picks up, more or less, on what he's being told. He eases up a little, reaching up with his good hand to scruffle his hair a bit sheepishly. He's always overreacting, isn't he.]

What do you think the worst pain you've ever met was?

Like I said, having someone try to exorcise me wasn't what I'd call a skip down the lane.
