I see . . . we weren't - given that option. As soon as we completed our mirrors, we were given a party and sent back home.

What a charming send off.
beathach: there were moments of gold (⚛ 016)

Charming is a word for it. [it just was to him. He wasn't even there for a good chunk of it] I wouldn't have stayed if I was invited to, but . . . it would have been nice to have an option to return briefly or - speak to people still there, every now and then.

Do you not have that option?
beathach: i can barely recall (⚛ 010)

Not yet. [because of course Hank is looking for a way. He'll always look] But as of right now, no.

Hmm. Curious.

That's one word for it.

Yes, I imagine your words might be decidedly less polite about the situation.
beathach: but it's all coming back to me (⚛ 011)

[personal profile] beathach 2016-04-15 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I was going to say "annoying", but - mm, I can think of a few less polite terms.

I thought you might.

[personal profile] beathach 2016-04-15 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, but it's only a temporary annoyance.
precedented: (I desire no results)

[personal profile] precedented 2016-04-15 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
All annoyances do tend to be temporary. If we let them become permanent, they will never leave.

That's a good way to put it, mm.

Heh, so I've noticed.

I have a habit of getting caught up in whatever I'm working on.

[so, yes]

[it doesn't help that he looks a lot like Charles and he . . . thinks it's scolding anyway. He clears his throat]

Right, no, you didn't.
precedented: (That brings total obliteration)

[personal profile] precedented 2016-04-16 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
It's not in my nature to chastise anyway. I prefer to let people decide for themselves.
beathach: but it's all coming back to me (⚛ 011)

[personal profile] beathach 2016-04-16 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
It sounded close enough that you reminded me of all the other chastising I get. [but he shrugs, smiling] Generally people do. The more stubborn ones, at least.
