[ The video flickers on to Leto sitting on his bed, kicking his legs briefly. He grins when the video starts recording, pushing himself onto his feet. He tilts his head, that odd bird-like movement he often exhibits. ]

I have heard some interesting things of late, so I thought I'd put the question to you all. When you fall in love, can you only love one person? Can you fall in love with multiple people? Is love something you find yourself stopping after just one?

Well, couples were the norm where I'm from, too.

Were there never any deviations?

Not that I was really aware of, but I was 12 when I left.

Was sent away. But yeah, everyone I knew seemed to be in couples.

I've seen more open relationships than I ever saw singular couples, but that might be my limited experience in another place.

Like I said, I'm no expert.

[ It is that simple. If Leto felt like asking, he simply does it. There are no hidden meanings there. ]

In Aather, things were quite different.

What's Aather?

It is a place similar to this. Except we lose our memories and have to regain them over time.

My friend mentioned being in a place like that, but it had another name.

I'm sorry you had to go through it, though.

There are many similar places, I'm afraid.

[ He pauses at her sentiment. ]

Oh, it wasn't . . . terrible. It did me no harm the way other places might have. I grew, I learned and I was better for it.

There's always something to be thankful for, I guess?

I am deeply indebted to Aather.

[ It taught him to accept himself. No longer does he feel the crawl of revulsion when he thinks about himself and the future. ]

People don't usually talk about the places they've been kidnapped to in that way.

Aather was special.

[ And lbr, Arrakis was ten times worse than Aather on a good day. ]

My own world was harsher than Aather, though it had better weather.
