Who: Leto + You
Broadcast: Video
Action: N/A
When:
[ The video flickers on to Leto sitting on his bed, kicking his legs briefly. He grins when the video starts recording, pushing himself onto his feet. He tilts his head, that odd bird-like movement he often exhibits. ]
I have heard some interesting things of late, so I thought I'd put the question to you all. When you fall in love, can you only love one person? Can you fall in love with multiple people? Is love something you find yourself stopping after just one?

[That sounded a bit like a challenge? Though surely not. He wouldn't be that forward, would he? Then again she started it.]
But that would defeat the purpose, wouldn't it? You ask questions of love. I don't imagine you would do things with someone you don't care for, let alone know very well.

[ As for how well -- he'll leave out the part about his prescience for now. ]

You make a lot of assumptions, don't you? We've only barely spoken.
[Though she is flattered and... maybe a little flustered. Seven Hells.]

[ Though Leto rarely needs anything to care. He always cares, he's meant to care and that was his profound weakness that he holds out for people to see. ]

Is this man playing with her? She has no way of knowing.]
So you want me to believe that you care for me. Prove it then.
[Since he's pretty much calling her on her bluff... may as well call him on his? Or what she assumes is a bluff. He barely knows her and he's awfully magnanimous. She's half convinced he's trying to make fun of her.]

But will it matter?
no subject
[She is curious though, what he would be willing to do to prove just how much he seemed to care.]
Name your terms, if you have any. I'm not easily impressed by strange men with claims like yours but you have my attention so I'll grant you that.
[Daario had been a little more earnest in his attentions. She'd actually been quite fond of that.]
no subject
Very well. All I ask is that when the day comes, you'll consider opening your heart once more. It need not be with me.
no subject
Fine.
[Sort of.]
And how do you plan to go about proving me wrong? Because I still feel compelled to point out that words and actions are two different things.
[Though she knows full well if you care about someone it isn't a competition. It's little things that count.]

[Because whoa that would definitely be embarrassing.]

[No, for real. Is he seriously planning to show up and give her presents just to prove he cares for her?
Damn it is everyone taking a page out of Daario's book all the sudden?]no subject
[ Leto approaches everything with a placid sense of seriousness and amusement. It is not a joke, but there is humour to be found. ]

[But hey, he got a smile out of the Mother of Dragons?]
no subject
[ Perfect, for the Father of Sand-Worms. ]

[She laughs, her violet eyes lighting up with mirth.]

In my defense, I stopped at "part".

[Though he seems like the type who would sooner accept that she enjoyed his gift rather than a material object in itself.]
