002 ♛ Video;

Who: Daenerys Targaryen
Broadcast: fleetwide!
Action: aboard the Caprine
When: Today

[Dany is on a mission today! Ever since she had finally approached the gross planet and had heard from locals of the party coming up, she has decided to try and make a dress for herself. Sadly easier said than done as she normally has them made for her. In her lap rests a length of semi-opaque cloth, a needle in hand as she embroiders the fabric.]

I was wondering, perhaps, if anyone might have skills in leather working? I am attempting to make a gown for the forthcoming festivities and I wish to not have this task compete with my duties aboard the Caprine.

[She has an idea in mind and can draw it up for anyone who might need a visual demonstration. She also might wear the final product around the ship if the dress is suitable enough. She hated wearing the standard issue clothing if she could avoid it.]

I am willing to compensate in whatever means is acceptable for services rendered. I am skilled enough in embroidery and some sewing, but leather is out of my knowledge.

Oh, may I? [ The way he chuckles is enough to show that he probably won't be calling her that any time soon. ] Well, then you're welcome to call me the same. What little claim you still have to the throne means nothing here.

[ He backed a guy who literally had no claim just because he was his best friend. He knows what he's talking about. Also, yes, this is definitely a sass-off. ]

What makes you think I want anything?

To most of Westeros, your claim is small.

[ He actually doesn't mean it in an entirely cruel way. Theon doesn't know where his own loyalties lie anymore, but he does know that Westeros is a mess. Too many people are trying to stake their claims. Even Balon Greyjoy had been intent on taking the North from Robb. Adding this young girl to the mix only serves to make things even more complicated for everyone. ]

The Ironborn do as they please. They support who they please, if they choose to support anyone at all. The kings squabbling over that pile of broken swords you call a throne have no real rule over us.

[ Not anymore. Theon isn't his father's incentive to behave any longer. There's nothing preventing Balon from rebelling again. ]

As for how I regularly speak to people--[ His trademark smirk sneaks into his voice yet again. ] I suppose you're just a special target. I've never had the opportunity to insult a Targaryen before.

My people--[ The amount of emphasis on the word is telling. He's clearly losing control of this conversation, if he ever had any control over it to begin with, but Dany has the right of him. He's a man grown, yet somehow he's also still just a boy trying to fill shoes that are far too big for him. ]

My people wish to be ruled by no one but their own king. My father, Balon Greyjoy, is the rightful ruler of the Iron Islands. He rebelled against Robert Baratheon for a reason. The driftwood crown is his own, and until you or anyone else can promise that it will be returned to him, I will insult who I please.

[ He's trying so hard, bless him. Theon may be frustrating and a loudmouth, but he's hardly the worst of the lot. That honor is all Euron's. Theon only wants to be accepted and loved, but his uncle is just cruel for no good reason. ]

Your name is what makes you a rarity. You're a dying breed--nearly dead, in fact. Your family's name is not easy to skim over in the histories. I won't ask your forgiveness for my curiosity.

[ He really does try to tell himself that he loves his father, at least. He doesn't hate Balon, but fathers are strange creatures, easily angered and prone to mistreating their children, but you're meant to love them all the same, aren't you?

He's going to keep being a dick, though. A bit of arguing never stopped him before.
]

Well, then. I'll be insulting you quite a bit, won't I?

[ It never ends. ]
