What's a cephalon? ["Person" is usually a pretty safe term, so that's interesting to her. She tends to have a similar reaction when someone calls her human though.]

A cephalon is a cephalon. ...though it is wildly inaccurate and Ordis finds the very notion offending, it has been easier for beings here to understand the term 'A I'? Ordis is not a mere lowly computer though, perish the thought.

I know AIs. I wouldn't have called them lowly, but...how are you different? I mean, if you want to go into it. [She doesn't usually make people explain what they are, but the term is new for her.]

Ordis is a cephalon. Ordis belongs in service to his Operator, and should be so lucky as to be. Ordis...is a ship? That is not the best way to put things.

[Kitty is not exactly sure what to make of him, but she's listening and trying to make sense of it.] You have a lot of ways of putting things you don't approve of. You do look like you'd be kind of hard to ride in.

While Ordis may approve or disapprove of things, he does not see how this is relevant?

Ordis usually only allows the Operator to ride. Or, did, at least. This form would be very inconvenient for such.

This must be kind of a huge change for you. Unless you could always transform?

Hmm, well, I like my fleshy body just fine, but I wouldn't want to suddenly be in something completely different either. [So you get a grace period on comments like that.] Seems like a lot of trouble to go to giving you an organic body. How did they even get one? Does he belong to someone else?

Ordis concedes that if one was born in such flesh, it would not seem as disconcerting. [He's trying, he promises.] And if you ever find out, please let Ordis know because this is something that is completely unheard of and this body is just a strange, random thing that no one knows where it came from.

It is very upsetting.

[She nods.] I get that. I've been in a different body before too. It wasn't here, and it was still human-ish. But that doesn't make it easy. I only had to deal with it or a day. [Well, two days, and two different bodies because the prison liked to repeat it's greatest hits. So, like what she went through but much worse.]

[This is the first time he's heard of anyone being stuck with the same plight, and that certainly peaks his interest.]

Was there a fix for the condition, if Ordis may ask?

It was back in the prison—the multidimensional trap I was in before this one—usually you just had to wait out the day and things went back to normal. That's how it was for that one. It doesn't really help your situation. Sorry.

...these types of places are normal?

They're surprisingly common. I guess that could mean normal. There are a lot of people here who have been to one or more before this place.
