Well, I got commissioned for a super-suit.

[ and he discovered that he and hank were meant to be friends if not each other's human-mutant counterparts but that's not really pillow talk is it. ]

Mmm, Tyrion told me to tell you that you're not allowed to be more charming or witty than he is. [For instance, this is probably terrible pillow talk.]

[ eyebrow slowly rising. ]

Who's Tyrion and how charming and witty is he? [ is it wrong that his heart is doing a little happy dance because - she's talking about him and clearly he's doing well in those conversations.

it might actually be best for him if she just told people about him and then he'll never meet them to the impression intact. ]

Kate's good people.

[She smiles at him.] Tyrion is my friend and he is very charming and witty and very respectful of the fact that I'm with you. [Kissing him as a reminder of that.] He mentioned that he's heard your name around. You must be getting popular.

My dress got many compliments last night, [some of those were probably for how she looked in the dress] so a lot of people know you make clothes now. I apologize in advance if that gets you bombarded.

He -- did? [ that thought is just too weird to him, what do you mean he's popular? ] To Google myself or not to Google myself - that is the question -

[ aka: kara what are you telling people about him? he can't imagine too many others are talking about him - nevermind, that's a problem for later. ]

Well tell him it's going to take inhumane effort but out of respect for your friendship - I promise to keep my charm and wit in check. [ hey at least it gives him an excuse when he puts his foot in his mouth!

did he just accidentally stumble himself into being a fashion designer? abort! he's only doing that for his friends. and for superheroes. because making super-suits is really cool. ]

So worth it. You were so beautiful in it. Not that - you aren't always beautiful, you are but - hey, how I'm doing on the wit-o-meter?

I'm sure he'll be pleased. Actually, he has an engineering augment and seems really into it, but he's from the same world Margaery is. [Oh, look, they have a short hand for explaining that. Sweet!] He might like to pick a brain like yours that was already primed for it. [He may also find it awkward. to talk to him, but she hopes not?]

I had to deduct points for "wit-o-meter". Sorry. [Smiling at him.]

Also, is it going to freak you out if I ask what Google is? [Sorry, Winn. Tech took a divergent path in her world.]

Google is -- the internet's overlord. It's a company that started out as a search engine, and kind of morphed into a monster - it's social media, it's video hosting service, email provider, it works on self driving cars, operating systems, wearable computers, mapping, basically anything and everything remotely technological you can think of - chances are they have a stake in it.

You handled that well, but it freaked you out a little, didn't it? [Playful.]

I have a lot of feelings about the internet, ok -

[ he laughs; for the longest time it was the only friend he could depend on. until kara came into his life. ]

College Winn - worked tech support a lot, and had a neatfreak roommate that wasn't all too happy with his snack obsession.

I would never have guessed you worked tech support. Tell me of this snack obsession and I will try not not to get ridiculously hungry. [She's already hungry but doesn't want to leave the boy and the bed.]

[ cuz the possibility he'll turn insane murderer in the future is one thing - his eating habits a whole other. ]

I kinda tend to -- surround myself with pretty much anything artificially colored and bagged when I'm working. Which was, kind of always in college - work-work and school-work, and my downtime was for-fun-work - so our room was always piles of pizza boxes, nachos, burritos, candy wrappers, bags of whatever was on sale, giant bottles of soda...his girlfriends hated me.

[ cuz the one thing he wasn't - was fat ]

So dark. I don't know how to handle this new and difficult information. [And she is actually rolling to the edge of the cot. Maybe she's serious? Maybe she wants to escape? Maybe she's phasing her hand into the top shelf of her dresser (which is close enough to reach because this room is small) and pulling out a snack bag she picked up back on the station.] They're kind of like Cheetos but a little spicy.

[ you know that smitten look? he's getting that again. ]

[It's a good look on him. She smiles back and opens the bag and pulls one out to feed to him.] Sharing. Half mine. That's how you get girlfriends to love you. [They should both me more careful how they throw the "love" word around.]

[ his face might explode from happiness as he munches on the treat. true fact, he's 90% puppy. ]

Well I definitely want that - sharing is caring.

[She pops one in her mouth too and close-mouth smiles at him.] Cutie.

This is surprisingly good - where'd you get it?

A shop on the space station. I got a job transporting things while we were there and used most of that money for food. I liked it a lot more than the moon.

Next place we go better have more of these -
