We have a masquerade coming up, and I was bored so I thought I'd mettle in people's lives for my own amusement. First, the disclaimer, there is nothing wrong with going to a dance solo.

Now, for anyone else, who wants a date?

Sorry, not me. Taken. But there are probably some of you out there thinking a date would be fun, and sure, why not? So speak up. Let's make some love connections. Or, you know, awkward dancing connections. I'm a mutant, not a miracle worker.

Remy LeBeau?

Yeah, I know him. We've shared a couple drinks, and he helped me out planet side when I got tossed into that mud pit fight.

the relationship he and Kitty have, or if Remy would even want that out

Mud pit fight? Sounds messy and kind of dangerous since icky pollution everywhere.

But yeah, Remy's a good guy. [She probably shouldn't cast these assessments wide enough for people from other realities, but nothing about him has told her otherwise here.]

They say it's clean, and since I am not dead, I am willing to believe them, but I also showered right away. So who knows?

I like him. He's quite fun.

Well, I see my work here is done and I should stop before I dig a hole bigger than I can climb out of.

[Well, he ran with it. She smiles slowly after a few beats.] Polluted moon not doing it for you with supplies either? I'm kicking myself for going for junk food at the space station.

They're doing as well as they can, I think, with what they have - but yeah, it's leaving things to be desired. Makes me feel bad for the people, you know?

Sure. I'm sure it's probably harder for some to relocate than others. And definitely not easy for just anyone to fix the problem.

Trying? You're going to fix the moon? [Slightly incredulous surprise goes here!]

Well I don't think the moon got this way on its own. And I don't know if I can fix it, but I want to try and help these people find some solution, or at least the start of one.

How are you going to do that?

I've been collecting some samples of the soil and flora I come across. They're sealed and stored, but I need to find someone with equipment to analyze them, try and get a chemical make up of what's going into them, see if we can pick out what's synthetic from natural. It might turn up nothing, but it might turn up a lot.

It's not much, but it's what I can think of with the resources I think I can find.

You might check with Vision. I don't know if he'd have anything like that, but he's been doing a lot with plants on the Windrose and he has an engineering augment. He might be able to help you out. [And it goes without saying that he'd want to help anyone he could, right?]

Hmm, I'll look into that. Hopefully he can be of some help. I have the engineering augment myself, but sciences like this were never my speciality. I usually left this sort of thing to Spock.

I think it's always been in Vision's nature. [Even if he is just one year old.] I've heard that helps with the augments. You definitely have an uphill battle without them here. At least with Atroma's systems. [Because some of these things are in her nature and she's struggling as much or more than someone like Jon Snow who comes from a world where none of it has been created yet.]

At least the augments offer some help. I can't imagine just getting thrust here and not understanding a damn thing. I mean, I'm sure some people don't, but at the least they can work the basic stuff with Atroma's augments.

Doesn't make what Atroma did better, mind.
