[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

I don't think we ever properly introduced ourselves after that comm malfunction, huh?

I'm Ahsoka! Ahsoka Tano. Pilot of the Starstruck. Or-- one of them, anyway. We've picked up a couple more recently.

Hah, yeah, I think we both must've been pretty busy.

Nice to meet you, Ahsoka. I'm Poe Dameron. I'm on the Golden. And... there seem to be a lot of pilots around, huh. I'm sharing duty with the captain of the Golden, Hera.

Oh! I know Hera. She's pretty cool, huh? Apparently we work together in the future-- back home, that is. But she's from about fifteen years ahead of me, I think. So I haven't met her yet, timeline-wise.

You have been briefed on the whole... timeline situation, right?

Yeah, I'm enjoying serving on her ship. She's been a good captain so far. [It hasn't been that long, but you get a sense about commanding officers pretty quick.]

Finn told me. I'm from a little after him, actually. So I got to put his mind at ease, at least.

Oh, geez.

So, here's a fun fact: I'm old enough to be your grandmother. Well, in your time, anyway. I worked it out when I first met Finn-- if I'm still alive in your time, I'd be a whopping seventy one years old!

Well, you're looking really good for a grandma then. [Grin.]

I hope you're still alive. I haven't ever seen you, but I don't get off base much these days.

I hope I am too. But... realistically speaking, I'm probably not.

[She says it matter of factly-- she's not sad about it, just being practical. She isn't afraid of death. All things rejoin the Force when they die. Almost in the same breath, without skipping a beat:]

You're a little young for me [ha, get it?] but-- want to dance?

I'd rather be hopeful. The galaxy always need more of that.

[Grin.]Hell yeah, ma'am. [He offers her his arm. Look at him, being all classy.]

[Ahsoka chuckles and takes it, walking with him.]

I warn you, I only just learned how to do this an hour ago. So if I step on your toes, you can blame Master Kenobi.

It's okay, I haven't danced with anyone since... wow. Since I was twelve or something and my dad showed me how. So let's cause some damage.
