Masquerade Mingle

[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

Hey, handsome. [Even with a mask that covers so much the red eyes peering out of it and the way he moves gives him away.] Wasn't there something about a dance? [Or did she mess that up with her storytelling last time they talked? She's looking dressed up in blue with a mask that doesn't hide much.]

Hey yaself, [Despite it all, learning about other self, delving back into less than nice thoughts and memories, Remy didn't hold any of it against Kitty. It was his own demons to battle... one day. For now they were shoved away in exchange for just enjoying the night.] 'nd I believe ya be right.

[Holding out a hand to her, as if to lead her onto the dance floor, he kept his eyes on her through the mask.] Ya be lookin' mighty fine this evenin' petite, blue really be ya friend. [Before pausing to chuckle.] In several ways, though I didn't 'ntend that as a pun.

Thank you. And are we calling Kurt "Blue" now or did I miss the joke? [She slips her hand into his and follows along.]

Ah, well 've always called the one from my world Bleu, because clearly 'm not very creative in my nicknames. [Remy smiled behind his mask as they headed a bit more onto the floor, before turning to her and moving his arm to put her into a slow spin before stepping more into Kitty's space so they could dance together.]

At least it's not Fuzzy Elf. I heard that one bothered him. [She brings her arms up to his shoulders.] That's one of those things I'm probably going to get in trouble for telling you, isn't it?

Oooh, providin' me with more material? Don't worry, I won't tell him who my source be. [As she moved her hands to rest against him, Remy's own hands sat lightly against her waist. Taking a moment to check she was ok with him more or less leading them before doing so, eyes on her but also checking to make sure no one bumped into them as they danced.]

[She's fine with it. Expected it even.] You better not. Erik is working on remaking my claws, and I'll need something to test them on. Don't give me any reasons.

[Remy let out a chuckle at that, before sobering up and moving a hand away from her to place over his heart.] I would never, wouldn't dare dream 'bout it, let 'lone think 'bout it. [He may be playing it up a bit too much, depending how far Kitty would allow him to carry on.]

Mmmhmm... [She kind of missed his theatrics. It's been a long time since she had her Remy around much at all.] That's enough. Just dance already.

Yes ma'am. [A grin behind his mask as Remy's hand returned to her waist before stepping out so he could put them both into a spin and moving to the music.] Whatever ya say.

Ya seem to be enjoyin' the night, but not sure ya feet will be happy with ya come tomorrow though. Would hate to think ya got all danced out.

I have pretty resilient feet. I used to practice dance for hours at a time anyway. And that was ballet. [This is nothing compared to that.] Not to mention, you know, actual battles.
