[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

[ he surrounds himself with beautiful superheroes to take care of all superpower-requiring needs. ]

He's got really good taste in superheroes. [ it wasn't even on purpose, but the three people closest to him turned out to be that ]

He has good taste in general. [Even if she was telling Margaery just the opposite. Also, they won't creep anyone out with PDA if they kiss again on the dance floor, right? Or maybe she doesn't really care because this is happening. She may still be struggling with how to describe him to others, but at least she doesn't seem to mind being seen with him?]

[ not being the shameful little secret is a huge step up for him! he kisses back and when they break apart his smile is warm and if she looks closely - she may see some amazement in there, too. ]

a kid at christmas looks like a corporate drone being told he owes 10000 hours of overtime compared to the sheer happiness that is winn right now. ]

[She smiles and sinks in against him as an even slower song starts up. This isn't anything to impress anyone with dancing prowess. It's mostly just holding and swaying. She makes a soft happy sound.]

Do you have any plans tomorrow?

[winn]

[ he's happy with the holding and the swaying. it's easier to talk that way - and he just generally loves holding her. ]

Yeah - I'm doing whatever it is you've got in mind.

[She laughs a little at that.] Good. I just want to spend it with you. Maybe lazy time on the Windrose? Hopefully Kurt will be around? And I heard you're friends with Margaery already.

[winn]

Sounds great to me.

[ he nods, and tilts his head ]

Yeah -- you girls been talking about me?

[ it's mostly amused (just a little bit nervous, he was pretty embarrassing in front of margaery). ]

Whaaat? Us? Talk about you? [That's a yes. Did it sound like a yes?]

[ it did sound like a yes.

looking slightly more suspicious now. ]

What happens in girl talk stays in girl talk. [She kisses his cheek.]

[ you know what? after spending all his free time lately making dresses - he's just going to take the win of not being considered one of the girls.

and. she's talking about him. that's a great sign, right? ]

Well in case you lose it, the word you're always looking for is 'nerd'.

[ he smiles. he should probably make some more guy friends to talk to ]

[Please. Taking the Winn is her job.

She has definitely talked about him a lot. Did he peek at any of her open conversations when she was broadcasting? So many people wanting to know who had "taken" her.]

That is not a word I used. And you're not going to trick me into telling you what I did say.

[ he did not! which he feels he should get a gold star for, because it was very tempting. ]

I have no idea what you're talking about.

[ you can practically see the halo and wings. ]

Mmhmm. So, any plans on who you'll dance with tonight? Other than me of course.

[ there is some discomfort in his face there - he doesn't really want to dance with other people. ]

Um, Kara? [ ok except for kara because she's his best friend and if neither of them is occupied - it'll be fun. ] And Kate - if I find her.

Have you noticed you have a very specific type? People whose names start with K?

[winn]

I -- did notice that, yeah.

[ nodding, it gets even more specific when you realize most of them are superheroes. and guys named james who are way too good looking for his own good and hang around kara. ]

Logan told me that the Kitty from his world had a type for guys named Peter.

[winn]

[ he's sure it's a coincidence, much like his army of k-named friends, but still he finds himself grateful it's not a trait they share. ]

Logan?

He's one of the X-Men. There was a version of him here for awhile, but he kind of disappeared. I thought the was just keeping some distance at first, but then I really couldn't find him and the day you were transferred to the Tourist his name came off the crew manifest. [It was not a happy thing for her.]

[winn]

[ it makes him realize that as much as they talk - there's still so much they don't say. she didn't come to him about hank, she didn't come to him about logan - they've gotten so close so fast that it's kind of jarring to suddenly remember - that they haven't known each other that long. that they're not where they turn when they need a shoulder or a friendly ear. ]

I'm sorry.

[ he turns the dance into a hug. losing a friend is always hard - for anyone - but after the conversation they've had regarding her fear of loss...after everything she lost in her life, he can't imagine how she's feeling right now. and he had no idea.

he doesn't mean to turn the mood here - they're having fun and that's important - but he wouldn't feel right with himself if he didn't offer some comfort. ]

[She didn't go to anyone about Logan, but Kurt did go to her because he knew it would be hard for her. With Hank...she didn't want to show that ugly side to Winn, but before it was even really a decision Erik and Rogue both sought her out.]

Thanks. [She hugs him back. He feels warm and good against her.] I know I brought it up, but maybe we can talk about it tomorrow though? Tonight is for dancing. And maybe meeting some of my teammates who are here.
