[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

[She crosses her arms.]

You don't think I'm going to let you off that easily, do you?

Come on. One dance!

[sandhate]

[ anakin stiffly clasps his hands behind his back and walks off. ]

Uh huh.

[ it is the most uncommittable response he can give while he escapes ]

[Ahsoka makes a face at his back for a moment, eyes narrowing at Anakin's stubbornness. An annoyed noise accompanies it.]

[resnipstance]

[Quickly, she ducks around Anakin and pops up in front of him again.]

Come on, Anakin. Please? [Puppy dog eyes are in full effect.]

We probably won't get another opportunity to do this again for years. You know as well as I do that when we go home, everything's going to be a giant mess for a while, even if we set things to rights.

[sandhate]

[ oh great. that card is being played. that card that shuts him up immediately and makes him forfeit all resistance.

he sighs and tilts his head backwards for a second then he holds out his hand for hers. there may be a small smile on his face ]

Just so you know, you can't keep bringing that up to get your way.

[resnipstance]

[Ahsoka takes his hand and leads him back to the dancefloor, evidently pleased.]

I don't know about you, if we're going to be stuck in a prison anyway, I plan to use my time here to the fullest.

[sandhate]

This isn't what I would call using my time to its fullest.

[ either way, he is resigned to his fate. he stops at the dance floor and stands straighter, his hand held out for ahsoka's. obviously, he's had ...some practice. ]

[resnipstance]

No? [She takes his hand, radiating a sort of childish happiness that she hasn't displayed since before the incident with Greedling.]

Well, I classify it as taking the opportunity to learn new things and do stuff I otherwise wouldn't. I mean, what's the point of having more free time than we've had in years if we're just gonna do the same things we always do?

[sandhate]

[ he paused for a moment and then a small smile slides on his face. ] Do you want to dance or are you going to just keep arguing with me?

[ he leads, of course. he brings his arm around her waist and his other tucked behind him. his long strides are adjusted because it seems like all the women in his life are short as hell. ]

[resnipstance]

[Ahsoka grins. She'll consider that a win.]

[As for the dancing, she keeps up with him with relative ease-- a combination of Obi-Wan's help and cheating using the Force to tell her where Anakin will step next. After a few turns around the room:]

... Do you think this is what normal people do?

[sandhate]

[ he scoffs in the most undignified way that ruins the otherwise formal scene ]

What? No.

Not this kind of dancing anyway.

[resnipstance]

[Teasing, with a smirk:] Oh, because you're so knowledgeable?

[sandhate]

[ he snorts, returning the smirk in kind ]

I don't need to be so knowledgeable, Snips. Just more knowledgeable than you.

[resnipstance]

Oh, all right. What do normal people do then?

[sandhate]

[ the fact that he has to explain that to her is kinda sad. ]

It depends on who the normal people are. Most cases, they get jobs and have dinner with family and friends on their days off. It's not as complicated as this is. What do you think they do?

[resnipstance]

Oh-- um. I don't know. I kind of thought Padmé was a normal person, but... she's not, is she?

[sandhate]

[ he smiles a bit. talking about padme always cheers him up. ]

No, she's one of a kind.

[resnipstance]

[Seeing Anakin cheered is rare enough these days; it makes Ahsoka smile in turn.]

... Tell me about your wedding? I'm sad I never got to see it.

[sandhate]

You weren't the only one.

[ he takes a moment to gather his thoughts ]

It was on Naboo, by Varykino. It was quiet. Beautiful. The sun was setting when we said our vows. You would have been 11 or 12 then.

[resnipstance]

Oh... it sounds beautiful.

I can't believe you've been married for so long and nobody found out. I mean-- I knew you two had feelings for each other, but... Anakin, you're such a bad liar. Especially where Padmé is concerned. It's amazing that nobody else knows...
