[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

[Felix, on the other hand, preferred to have his clothing to reflect his mood, so that the whole package often amounted to shouting, even when he wasn't. It was always best, in his estimation, to carefully control the kind of attention you were getting. Tonight he's equal parts gentleman and equal parts carnival in his peacock-colored jacket and mask, assuring there are plenty of eyes glancing his way.

He catches a flash of Kirk's smile in the crowd and returns it as he approaches. He still can't quite identify this man from his crewmate, though it's something he's slowly growing more adept at. This time he's only the tiniest bit unsure as he makes his greeting]

Mr. Kirk? [The ball has him feeling a bit formal, what can he say?]

<sub>[ He would recognize that the red hair anywhere and the bi-colored eyes behind the mask. The other was a treat to see, clearly in his element here. He smiled as he ran his eyes over him, appreciating the contrast of the colors against his hair and skin.

Impulsively he leans forward to kiss his cheek in greeting. It seemed the sort of thing to do at a ball - a hand shake felt far to formal. ]</sub>

Wow, you really know how to dress for a party. Did you make this yourself?

[That move certainly catches him by surprise, and there is a slightly wide-eyed pause before he barks out a laugh]

Hardly. I would have no idea what to do with a needle and thread. I had it commissioned for the occasion.

Clearly I need to come to you the next time we have a major party. I feel positively drab by comparison now.

_{[ Not that he looked poorly in his - they were fitted nicely and have alluring lines, but he definitely lacked in the color department, though that had been by intention. He thought it helped his hair and eyes stand out much better that way. ]}
