[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

[ She's frustrated, but drops the matter. For now. This isn't the time or place.

Padme settles into the chair almost pointedly. ]

I'm going to rest a little. These shoes are killing me.

Well, that's what you get for wearing those shoes. They defy gravity, you know that?

[ he glances around in case obi-wan or ahsoka is watching. a force of habit he still hasn't quite kicked. anakin pats his thighs then. ]

Here, put your legs up.

I wear them because everyone is inconveniently tall.

[ She has a similar moment of hesitation before she slips her feet out of her shoes and shifts so she can place them on his lap. ]

[ he takes one of her foot in his hand, cradling with the heel in his palm. he press his thumbs down along the arch of her foot, chuckling. ]

I don't think I've ever done this for you before.

[diplomacme]

[ Teasingly: ] Well, if I knew it was an option, I might've taken advantage of it sooner.

[sandhate]

[ he huffs a small laugh, dipping his head for a moment. ]

If that's the case, I should start charging you.

[diplomacme]

[ It's a quiet laugh, but it's still a laugh. It eases her a little.

Padmé smirks. ]

And what would it cost me?

[sandhate]

[ he slips his flesh hand higher on her ankle, his fingers pressing lightly. ]

Well, a favour for a favour sounds fair.

[diplomacme]

[ An exaggerated gasp. ]

Surely you're not having impure thoughts over there, Mr. Skywalker.

[sandhate]

[ he looks equally scandalized. ]

I was just thinking of a shoulder massage! What were you thinking, Mrs. Skywalker?

[ She suppresses a laugh. ]

If I told you, it would ruin the surprise.

[ You want to go there? Game on. ]

[sandhate]

[ he looks even more surprised and scandalized. ]

A surprise?

[ the tips of his fingers tickle the back of her knee ]

What are you keeping from me?

[diplomacme]

[ Her leg twitches when he tickles her and she barely manages not to laugh. Instead, she just smirks. ]
