[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

I can see that. [She said a little wryly.] So you're the dress maker?

[Turning back to Winn.]

[Kitty is going to try a little quiet this time, letting him answer for himself. She just slips her hand into Winn's. So, you know "friends."]

[ he loosely holds her hand, not wanting to make her feel like she has to do this for him. ]

-- I've had worse titles. [ nodding ] Well, I made Kitty's and Kara's, at least. And, this thing - [ straightening his jacket with his free hand ] which is - not a dress but it fits the 'maker' criteria?

[ maybe you should talk again, kitty. maybe you should do all the talking because he's nervous now and this can only end in hilarity -- for the viewers. ]

[Rogue nods at him.] Ya look very nice. An' so does your dress, Kitty.

[Okay, handholding and awkward handholding and 'friends' and Rogue is so done. She doesn't do these games. Rather, she arches an eyebrow at them.] So, are guys here together?

[Okay, it's easier to answer in a yes/no format. She could probably do multiple choice too, but fill in the blank is rough! He's also her friend, gawd!]

And thanks. Yours is not exactly what I was expecting. [Because without knowing more she expects what her Rogue might do and she'd probably want something more Charles-friendly.] But it's cool. Did Loki come?

[ well that very sure yes is making him feel a little better, at least, so thanks rogue! ]

[Rogue smirks a little at that compliment - she knew her dress was crazy outrageous, and she loved it.] Yeah, that's right - ya missed my Goth phase.

[She turns back to Winn at that question.] Loki's my boyfriend. He's around here somewhere. Dancin'.

[She addresses both of them:] He loves dancing.

[Her? Not so much.]

Oh no, and there aren't any pictures here. That's unfair.

[Smiling. Look at her be chill again.] You know why he loves dancing? It's because dancing is the best. Smart guy.

[ he feels that. he likes dancing - but kitty loves dancing. must be what a person who enjoys the internet feels like around him. ]

Let's just say I don't do well in crowds. [Dryly: The understatement of the year. She has a loooot less to worry about tonight, but traumatic memories are traumatic memories.

What's the harm in one dance?

Plenty.

She waves a hand to indicate the room around them.] But I do enjoy a show.

Have there been ridiculous things going on that are fun for the watching? I mean, other than whatever I've been doing tonight of course.
