[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

Nah. Never had the chance. I bet they have them for special occasions, though.

[Mention of his ship gets a smile.]

Yeah! I got on the Caprine, it's pretty nice. And I been visiting the Golden, where Poe lives. [He gestures to his sort-of-nearby friend, recognizable for wearing the same style of jacket in red rather than black.]

Oh, the Caprine, huh ... ? So you met Jojo, then ...

[ She tries not to let that one get her down -- he'd wanted to go home so badly. Still, her amiable expression does waver just a bit. ]

Poe? Is that a friend of yours?

[Finn nods.] Good man. Good Captain. [Though he hadn't exactly known him well enough to be too broken up when Jojo disappeared. It's the way of things. Always has been, for him, if the method is pretty different now than the way things used to be.]

Yeah! He's a pilot. Only one from my galaxy that's actually from my time. Everyone else is like, thirty years younger.

[ She nods in agreement re: his assessment of Jojo, not really offering a comment beyond that. She is sad. :(

But hearing Finn has a friend here does make her brighten up a little! ]

Oh, that's awesome! It's always nice to have someone here that you're close to from home. Are there really that many people from another time for you... ?

Yeah, a couple of them disappeared but there's still a lot, like the Jedi and Captain Hera on the Golden. They're all from before the Battle of Jakku, except Jaina, who didn't have the Battle of Jakku in her timeline.

[So far she's the only one he's sure is from an alternate version of his world.]

Oh! Right! So that means you've probably met Obi-Wan and Anakin, huh?

[ Look at her, she has no idea. ]

[Fortunately, he's had enough time to digest Anakin's being here - and sure as hell isn't spilling the beans about it to anyone not in the know.]

General Kenobi, yeah. He's training me on how to use a lightsaber. Haven't run into Skywalker yet--do you know Ahsoka, though? She's his student.

Oh -- yeah! She came to the sleepover we had awhile back. I didn't know they knew each other that well, though ...

Yeah, they're all from the Clone Wars. Way before my time. Like sixty years. [Super long, clearly. Also, it's more like fifty-five, but what does he know?]

Anyway, she's a Jedi, too. It's like being in an old story with all of them here.
