[ In her broadcast, Kara is in her PJs, hair down and glasses off. She looks like she just woke up not too long ago and the overall vibe is very "confessional vlog". She doesn't seem distressed, just a little confused, and tired—though her eternal optimism is always there somewhere. ]

Hey, so, question: On a scale from "wow that's super weird we've never heard of something like that" to "it must be a Wednesday on the Fleet", how common is it to just like, get a bunch of "new" information from home? Which, now that I think about it, is kind of a dumb thing to ask because we have implants that give us job skills training. But I'm just wondering. Uh, in the abstract? Something like that.

Anyway, I'm going to go get some coffee and food because I'm starving. Who knew that sleeping was such hard work?

Did he? What was that like?

He was just poking his hand through a table like he couldn't get enough of it. The table was probably feeling pretty violated by the end.

I'm really glad it didn't freak him out. When he lets himself relax, he has a lot of fun. I guess you help him relax.

[Softer.] I have fun with him too. He only seemed freaked out by my powers when I accidentally phased into him when you guys walked in.

I'm pretty sure that was mostly my fault, anyway.

It's past whatever it was. Nothing to worry about.

Yeah. Feels forever ago at this point.

It does. It feels like we've all known each other for awhile.

Yeah... and then getting all this new stuff... it's strange.

How does it feel? More recent...important than things here? [Yes, maybe wondering how it will be for Winn someday if it happens to him, but also wondering for Kara's sake.]

All mixed in together. Like, it feels like the appropriate amount of time has passed since whatever happened at home, but it also feels new.

[Not exactly what she hoped for, but basically what she expected.] Maybe it will settle into something that makes more sense in a few days.

I think it will. Everything happened pretty close together at home, too.

It didn't give you much time to recover from it. Which...is easier sometimes. Just keep busy and you don't have to stop and think. You'll have lots of time for that here though. [At least that was her experience leaving home and heading to a prison where she could finally have PTSD because she'd finally achieved "post."]

Maybe we'll get attacked by something and things will go more smoothly.

I'll only wish for that a little bit.

Yeah, I mean, I don't want anyone to get hurt, but if I could go mindlessly beat up some evil robots or mindless monsters I could be really into that.
