[... Shinji isn't the most sociable creature, so he doesn't spend much time around the Heron's remaining crew members. In all honesty, he thinks the ship is cursed or something, what with its frequent disappearances. But he tries to put on his friendliest face when he appears at the entryway to the kitchen. He knows next to nothing about Kotoha herself, so he's more than a little curious. She strongly resembles someone he met in passing back home.]

Hey, [he says, now approaching the counter.] Thanks for having me... I really need to get back into cooking, or else I'm going to forget how it goes.

[ Kotoha could get behind the idea that this ship is flat-out cursed. It does seem like people get dropped like flies only to be replaced, then those disappear... Sometimes, it feels like they're all just waiting their turns to come and go. It's not something she likes to admit thinking about.

She smiles when Shinji arrives, looking up from the where she's beating some eggs and milk together in a small bowl. ]

Ahh, no, thanks for coming! And I agree - I may not have the augment or whatever for it here, but that doesn't mean I want to forget how to do it. Who says a security officer can't make food too, right?
