Endurance.

[ Raven knows she doesn't need to be strong, not physically at least. She can become anyone she wants, take on their face and their voice and be whatever she needs to be, but she needs to be able to maintain it. If she can't stay as someone for hours on end then she's wasting her time - and she knew it just as much as the Brotherhood had, once.

She shifts a little, pushing herself up and reaching to tighten the ponytail holding her hair up, huffing bangs out of her face. ]

That machine on the medium setting seems to work best. The high setting puts too much stress on your muscles if you use it too long. [Good for strength, bad for endurance. he makes a face.] I'm supposed to only use it on light till my back gets better.

[ What Raven really wants, if she's being honest, is someone to spar with - she can't do it with Hank, her brother is in a wheelchair and a bit of a pushover at best and the one person she knows wouldn't coddle her she isn't talking to right now. That leaves her with the weights, the familiar feel of them in her hands even as Erik's words echo around her and make her feel shame. ]

[ The question comes out quickly as she shifts, pushing up again and fighting to maintain control of herself and not turn blue. ]

[Finn at least has his fighting practice with Obi-Wan to keep him on his toes. Raven would undoubtedly kick his ass with her hand-to-hand skills, though. He only knows the basics there.]

Tried to block a lightsaber with it. Didn't work out too well for me. Frankly, I was surprised when I woke up here. Careful--

[ That doesn't sound particularly good, and Raven frowns. Is that something she has to worry about here? She makes a mental note to talk to Hank about it, shifting to stretch her arms out as she places the weights back above her. ]

It's a--kind of a laser sword from my galaxy. I'm training to use them in case I get into a fight over my head again, but we haven't been able to make anything just like them here.

[So she won't have to worry about that, anyway.]
