I knew I should have looked up 'reality shows' a few months back.

[ The man who appears on the screen is currently looking at what seems to be a little notepad before adding the word 'space' next to the words 'reality tv'. Really, he could have done this space setting if it included an inter-galactic war or helping planets in peril.

But in all honesty, Steve Rogers: entertainer has never been his career choice and it's not his forte, either. At least now the whole thing doesn't include singing and girls in scandalously short skirts. ]

My name is Steve Rogers, currently aboard the SS Pathstone. I've done a little bit of reading while aboard the Marsiva. I understand there are those who are trying to help the people on the moon we're visiting, if there is anything you need, I'd do whatever I can do to help.

The same goes for going home. I imagine people have already looked into ways for us to leave this place. No one should be taken anywhere against their will. I'd like to hear about the information you have managed to collect and I'll do everything I can to make sure everyone will be able to go home safely.

[ he's just as glad, really. he has landed on his feet, yes and is falling into the depths of the job already but it's good to see someone who has notes. much like sam, steve does appreciate the art of not-making if only because it makes it that much easier to keep up. ]

Wouldn't mind at all. I have a lot of physical documentation, if you'd like to check it out; admittedly, it's mostly recorded information about the previous planets and moons and stations we've stopped at, but... hey, it's helpful if you want to see how things function from month to month.

Currently, the toxic moon we're stopped at is the primary focus. Complicated past, interesting, uh... way of life.

I'd like to look at them. We can't know where we're heading without any clue of what happened before. Has the previous moons and planets been all at similar peril or is the first time we're dealing with this sort of thing?

Honestly... No, they haven't. It seems random so far — we've stopped at a prosperous, flourishing ice planet, once. And then after that we've visited a space station that was thriving fine as well; it had the occasional crime, but... nothing out of the ordinary.

Whatever the path is the Marsiva is dragging us along, it feels pretty damn random.

... Granted, it could just be we need a bigger picture, but getting that bigger picture is a pretty big hurdle right now.

I don't suppose we have any maps of the star systems we are crossing?

and the Marsiva, are all ships connected to her flight course? has anyone ever tried to disengage?

As far as I know? It's seemingly random. Maybe the Marsiva just stops by places nearest during it's fruitless floating through space. What I do know is that every place we've stopped at so far has absolutely no knowledge of this 'reality shows' existence.

The Marsiva could be focusing on places what isn't savvy to it. Or the audience could be somewhere pretty far away. Or maybe our audience is locked away aboard the safety of the Marsiva. Most of the answers are in there, I'm betting.

and I was told no one could find cameras anywhere either. Maybe we're not even here for the reality show is just a cover. I tried to check the Marsiva when I was there, there wasn't any clue to the presence of other people but there must be some staff on the ship.

Must be. Probably. There's defintiely a lot to the Marsiva we can't see; I'm pretty confident we'll find most of our answers there. The only problem is actually getting in, because even super-powered or tech-savvy people can't break in.

So we're entirely dependent on the new arrivals.

We just need to tell them what to look for and where.

Easier said than done, but why not?

It's not like we have a whole lot else to work off of. The only thing that I'm concerned about is them not having any back-up; there's no way of going in there with them, and if there's a huge threat on the other side of those doors, then they could be taken and never seen again.

It'd be good to warn them of the risks, if we try to recruit them for the task.

I'm in communications, so maybe there's more I can do on my end, too.

You're right.

[ it's a lot to ask for someone who only just arrived on the fleet, something Steve wishes was asked of him as he would have done it. can he really ask it from someone else while not even knowing the exact risks? ]

if there ever is one willing to try, we could maybe distract them here on the ships to give them some time.

That'd be a great idea. If this place really is recorded 24/7 it'd be a little tricky; to be honest, they're probably laughing their heads off at us even trying to coordinate. But maybe with some luck and strategy, we can get things going more our direction.

From what I've heard from a firsthand account, an attempt at cracking their tech left one of the people here with selective amnesia. My best guess is that even if we wanted to be more than talk, that's exactly what they can make us if we push them in eyeshot.
