But he does huff at the answer and lean back after a moment, bracing his hands on the counter behind him]
So I saw. [until he couldn't watch the feed anymore.
. . . this was more difficult than he thought. He blows out a sigh and finally looks away]
I don't know why I'm bringing this up. I'm worried, okay? —about you, before you - assume things.

There isn't anything I want to say, Hank.

What's happened between the two of you is none of my business, and I'm not - trying to make it otherwise. [he wants to make that clear, that he won't step in where he doesn't belong] And you - know how I feel about her, and that I'm not - all that great at being . . . unbiased.
But if you - eventually want to talk it out - then the offer's there. If you want to dance around it and just blow of steam? That's fine, too. [a pause, and he makes a noise] Hell, if you want to blow of steam and take it out another way, I know a blue guy who can take a couple of punches.
[he runs a hand through his hair and glances down at Erik] What I'm trying to say is - don't stubborn your way through - whatever you want to call this alone. I know I'm your very last choice when it comes to this - especially this, but - you're still my friend. And I'm still going to offer that, regardless.

Erik remains silent and still, giving little indication of what he thinks of this speech. Other than that he's listening intently to every word of it. No, this isn't something he wants to talk about with Hank. As much as they can both claim it's none of his business, there's a bit of a lie in that. The four of them are all each others' business. It's been that way for a long time. Eventually, he just sighs, some tension dropping from his shoulders.]
You're wrong. [A beat.] You're not my last choice.

So it takes him a moment to actually - process what Erik says. And Hank being Hank, blurts out the first thing that comes to mind]
I'm not?

Somehow, though, they have tried to make it work. It took a while to notice, longer to admit. And despite his other faults, Erik has been trying with people. It's not an easy thing for him.
Looking back to the screwdriver in his hands, he continues, giving Hank a reprieve.]
There aren't that many people I count as friends, Hank. You are, though. This still isn't something I can talk about with you.

But - he said what he wanted to. He put the offer out there, and Erik listened. It doesn't matter whether he takes it or not, and - he feels like that got across]
That's fair. [he takes off his glasses to clean them, needing to fiddle with something] And - like I said, talking's optional.
[a pause, and he pretends like his glasses are suddenly the most interesting thing in the room] I'm glad you count me as - that.
