Who: Ahsoka + You
Broadcast: Yep!
Action: Not really (though if you want to find her, she'll be in her room on the Starstruck)
When: idk today
Hey! Soooooo since we're all stuck here, and going outside on this planet kinda sucks bigtime right now, I've been making it a project of mine to try and learn as much as I can about the different cultures of the other worlds people here are from! Particularly Earth, because there's so many of you! Someone told me the collective noun is "Earthlings"? Anyway.
I've been trawling through the media library, but to be honest, I'm not very good at sitting and reading for long periods of time. So I figured, why not just ask you guys instead?
Tell me one (or more!) thing about your home world that you think is culturally significant. It can be traditional, religious, social, or pop culture is fair game too! After all, it's no fun when people are making pop culture references that fly over my head.
The only rule is that you can't say the same thing as someone else. You ready? Go!

What is with everyone's fascination with libraries? They're not that great!

Why don't you tell me about the Jedi Temple, then? Future Jedi spend most of their lives there, right?

[It's been long enough now and Ahsoka's gotten enough emotional distance from the whole affair that she doesn't have to be upset now when Vima asks.]
It's a beautiful structure. Though-- maybe calling it is a structure is inaccurate. It's large enough to be it's own district, really. Thousands of levels tall, sturdy-- it looks like the sort of building that will last forever, you know? It's like a... like a mountain. And... even though it's on the top layer of Coruscant, it still manages to preserve its own space and quiet, separate from all the noise and hubbub.
There are gardens, practice courts, medical wards, enough rooms for every Jedi and every Padawan and then some-- though, younglings still share rooms with their clanmates. And... since I know you're interested [her smile turns a bit mischevous], the Temple library is widely considered to be the greatest repository of knowledge in the known galaxy.

[She does wonder if it actually will last forever... the Order does not, but what about its home? Maybe she won't ask that.]
I guess that would be the Force, keeping it peaceful. When I go back, I'll have to spend more time there, see if I can find the shape of the mountain. [She grins.] And contribute a little to that library. We lost so much at Ossus, any Jedi who becomes a scribe is going to have serious writer's cramp.
