[The video clicks on to an unusual-looking man with maroon skin and a yellow gem set into his forehead. Though he's been a familiar sight around the Windrose, the Vision doesn't tend to post much so he wouldn't be surprised if there are many unfamiliar with him.

This is a special occasion, however. There's even what looks like a cake in the background.]

There was a slight time differential between my last memories of home and the calendar here. Namely, I seem to have missed the month of June entirely. Given that lack, today is the three hundred sixty-fifth day since I was created.

Accordingly, there is cake and ice cream on the Windrose for any who should care to visit.

[He pauses and furrows his brow slightly.]

I cannot vouch for the taste of either, but I assure you they received the highest ratings from the shops they were purchased at.

[Wanda giggles at the sight of the little white fox sporting the party hat. Honestly, it was absolutely adorable. She kneels down to pet the fox a little when he comes over to greet her.]

I would not miss your birthday party.

[She then looks slightly guilty.]

I just wish I had realized it before getting your invitation.

I don't see how you could have known it was today. I was created on April the sixteenth, in fact, but I have only now reached a year thanks to missing the month of June in its entirety.

[OR YOU COULD HAVE TOLD HER, DUMMY]

With everything that was happening back home, combined with everything that has happened here, it was a little hard to keep track.

[Still, Wanda can't help but feel and look a bit guilty. She shuffles a little, keeping both hands behind her back, clearly hiding something.]

Hopefully... this will make up for it?

[From behind her back, Wanda reveals what appears to be an antique-looking camera.]

It looks old, but apparently it works much the same as a digital camera would from back home.

[Honestly, Wanda had kind of floundered on trying to figure out what kind of gift she'd thought Vision would like. Ultimately, she found this camera, and given a lack of a better idea, she decided to buy it.]

Do you like it?

[He takes the camera, looking positively delighted. As it happens, technology is always a good bet.]

I like it very much. Thank you, Wanda.

[He looks down at it to determine the controls - they're simple enough.]

Would you mind if I took a picture of the two of us?

[Her eyes grow wide for a moment in surprise. Though, she's not sure why that surprised her. It WAS a camera that she JUST gave him as a gift. It made perfect sense that he would want to us it. Still, a picture of the two of them... a small, warm smile appears on her face, as she nods her head in the affirmative.]

No, of course I do not mind.

[She moves over to stand next to him, getting in good position for the two of them to be easily framed into the shot together.]

[Luckily for the sake of the shot, he doesn't have to reach around for unfamiliar buttons or anything - one of the advantages of his powers as they relate to electronics. The positioning is a guess and the lighting could probably be better, but he smiles for the camera regardless and then brings the photo up to show to Wanda when he's done.]

[He's thinking he'll print out a copy to hand in his room. That's what people do with photos, right?]

[Wanda smiles and nods her head, appraisingly.]

Not bad. You may have a career as a photographer ahead of you.

[He makes a mental note to send her a copy as soon as he can synch it with his communicator.]

I look forward to giving it good practice.

[Is your inbox prepared for pictures of Officer Snuggles being adorable? Is it?]

I figured you could use it to take pictures of all the different places the Fleet visits. A way to... catalog everything.

[She was thinking "remember" or "cherish" or "commemorate," but she decided on "catalog" as it sounded more like something Vision would say.]

[Oh god, as cute as she finds his Fox, give it two weeks of near daily pictures before she begins to second-guess her choice in gift.]

That's an excellent idea, Wanda. A visual catalog would present an easy explanation for new arrivals.

[Naw, more like he'll make a directory and link her to it. And one for his plants, fish....

He clasps her hand quickly to show his appreciation.]

It should prove both useful and enjoyable. Thank you very much.

[Wanda smiles back, both happy to see that Vision liked her gift, and also feeling rather pleased with herself for having picked something out that Vision actually loves as a gift.]

[She stops. The nickname for Vision that she'd been toying with in her head suddenly slipped out. She eyes Vision carefully, checking his reaction.]

[Oh. Oh, that's--no one's ever given him a nickname before (that he knows of, anyway). His smile softens and he gives her hand a light squeeze, not letting go yet.]

Wanda--

[And then he lets go of her hand so he can ever so briefly touch her cheek before dropping his hand back to his side.]

It would mean nothing without the people I care about. I hope you know you are one of those.

[She stiffens slightly at her name being said out loud, not sure what was going to come after. However, when she sees his smile, and feels his hand briefly on her cheek, she relaxes, relief washing over her. His words even bringing a slight shade of red to her cheeks.]

I do. It is the same for you, as to me.

I'm glad.

[That she understands, that she counts him as a good friend as much as he does with her, that she's here today when he decided to have a party. That she brought him a useful gift when she didn't have to get him anything. All of it.]

[There's a moment as Wanda stands there, smiling with that slight shade of red still in her cheeks. Then, she wraps her arms around Vision in a big hug. It lasts only for a second or two, before Wanda pulls away. She looks up at him, the blush having faded, but her smile having grown.]

Happy Birthday, Viz.

[She repeats her earlier line. This time, there's a greater sense of care and tenderness to her words. She doesn't wait for his response though, as she turns and heads over to the refreshments. Looking to help herself to some cake, and maybe make a little small talk with other party attendees.]
