[The video clicks on to an unusual-looking man with maroon skin and a yellow gem set into his forehead. Though he's been a familiar sight around the Windrose, the Vision doesn't tend to post much so he wouldn't be surprised if there are many unfamiliar with him.

This is a special occasion, however. There's even what looks like a cake in the background.]

There was a slight time differential between my last memories of home and the calendar here. Namely, I seem to have missed the month of June entirely. Given that lack, today is the three hundred sixty-fifth day since I was created.

Accordingly, there is cake and ice cream on the Windrose for any who should care to visit.

[He pauses and furrows his brow slightly.]

I cannot vouch for the taste of either, but I assure you they received the highest ratings from the shops they were purchased at.

I can't say I am. There are few things that anger me, and expressing a statement about my age is not one of them. Though I can say with confidence I'm the youngest ship captain, I suppose.

[he laughs a little] I'd say you are.

You're - Vision, then? Kitty mentioned you when I visited last.

I am, yes. [Seriously, how does Kitty know everybody?] You're one of her friends, then?

[she's DOES know everyone, doesn't she. She's social for all of them and then some]

I - yeah, I am. [he's pretty sure he is, even if it's still a little complicated] We're from - not the same world, but very similar worlds.

Are you? I find I'm not more than two or three degrees removed, myself. I don't suppose you also know Wanda Maximoff?

[So far she's been the common thread....]

That would make two of us. [he smiles a little wryly] It's . . . interesting and strange all at once.

I don't know Wanda, no, but I know - a version of her brother.

I agree. Is your world one with the Avengers? It's the team I belong to.

Knowing her brother is close enough. Winn suggested we make a diagram to keep it all straight, and I begin to think it's not a terrible idea.

It isn't, I'm afraid, but I've heard a little about it. My world has the X-Men - or . . . what will be the X-Men. If there is an Avengers group, it hasn't been formed yet.

[he can't help but grin] Winn would suggest that. At this point, I think we may need one to keep everything straight.

The X-Men, thank you. [What was it Kitty had said? Someone named Logan was on both teams? He hadn't met Logan, though, alas.]

What do you think we ought to keep track of? Name, codename, affiliation, relationships with others?

[consider yourself lucky, Logan is rude and also rude]

All of those, for sure. Ah - what year everyone comes from as well, maybe?

A good idea, yes. And if we can identify disparate timelines, perhaps we can name them for significant events?

For example, no one I've spoken to from an Earth without the Avengers had the Chitauri invade New York in 2012.

[the what invading New York, dear god]

That's - yeah, something like that would be a great idea. Me and everyone from my particular world are from 1973, but I'm sure some of the things we've experienced are different, too.

[It was bad times for everyone involved.]

I suppose you still have Richard Nixon, then? He won't resign for another year, if I recall correctly.

Failing all else, you could assign your ship's name to the timeline until a unique event is determined.

He resigns? Good. [after everything that went down, well. He's glad that Raven saved his life, but he also allowed Trask to display his damned sentinels and all hell broke loose]

That's also an option, especially if people don't feel like speaking of their - uh, particular significant event.

I couldn't agree more.

[He nods.] I believe there are fewer than eighteen timelines represented with overlap, so perhaps the ship names will serve.

[He might be starting to jot down names now....]

Eighteen? God. [that's. That's a lot] Ship names would be very helpful, I think.

May I ask how many people are from your particular timeline? Or world? Whichever word fits better.

[. . . Vision no it's your birthday]

As the number of ships rather than known timelines, to clarify. Twenty if we include the Iskaulit and Marsiva.

[Dude no he wants to science on his birthday.]

There are seven of us I'm aware of. Previously there were two others from a very similar timeline, but they've since vanished.

Ah - okay, I thought you meant timelines. But that's still - a lot more ships than I realized.

[well - far be it from Hank to stop a man who wants to science.

And let's be real he's taking notes too. He purses his lips] I made a joke once that this place was gathering up all the superheroes and now I'm starting to think that's what it's really doing.

Are they all Avengers?

Four of the seven are. Loki would be very insulted if you called him an Avenger, I think. He's the one who brought the Chitauri in the first place, though it's possible that act wasn't entirely of his own free will. Agent Carter hails from the 1940s; she founded the parent organization that would later guide the Avengers.

[AND THEN THERE'S WINTER.]

...The last is a bit more complex.

Ah . . . I've met Loki. He seems very - er, proud. [look at him, trying to be polite about it] And I - have heard of Agent Carter from Winter.

[He seems to relax a little.] You've met Winter, then. He would be the complex one.

If your mythology is at all the same as ours, I'd hope you know enough not to take Loki's words at face value. That said, his brother always insisted there was honor in him.

[he smiles a little] Mm, we've met. But - I understand what you mean by complex. ["Erik" was their complex. Raven too, by some extent]

I know enough about Loki from mythology to know not to do that. But he was pretty pleasant with me. Not so much with my colleague, but - I think he knew a version of Charles in another world.

Indeed. [Erik seems like a cool guy - to someone who very obviously presents as other than human and is chock full of metal that Erik could probably use to control him.]

It wouldn't surprise me. While I hardly know details of his previous experiences, he certainly knows more about both places like this and the people likely to appear than he lets on.

[Erik is a cool guy, you aren't wrong. He's just - Erik]

Mm, I'm not surprised either. I'm generally a - cautious person anyway, but it's good to know that the caution is a little warranted. [not that it would change how he'd interact with Loki, if they spoke again.

And because they're exchanging information - ]

There's only four of us from my particular version of the world. You might have run into them by now, really - are you familiar with Charles or Erik?

As long as you're aware of it, yes. [Oh, he won't discourage talking to Loki at all. There is a little of Tony Stark's curiosity in him, and if nothing else he has a connection to Loki through the Mind Stone.]

I've spoken with both of them. Charles is the one interested in helping others use their powers, yes? Erik came over for tea once. [Erik came over to deliver Kitty's claws, but the Vision shanghai'd him into having tea.

Also, Mystique has been preemptively banned from his ship, so he technically knows all four of them.]
