[The video clicks on to an unusual-looking man with maroon skin and a yellow gem set into his forehead. Though he's been a familiar sight around the Windrose, the Vision doesn't tend to post much so he wouldn't be surprised if there are many unfamiliar with him.

This is a special occasion, however. There's even what looks like a cake in the background.]

There was a slight time differential between my last memories of home and the calendar here. Namely, I seem to have missed the month of June entirely. Given that lack, today is the three hundred sixty-fifth day since I was created.

Accordingly, there is cake and ice cream on the Windrose for any who should care to visit.

[He pauses and furrows his brow slightly.]

I cannot vouch for the taste of either, but I assure you they received the highest ratings from the shops they were purchased at.

[He looks a bit surprised.]

I'd thought he had already come up between us. JARVIS was one of the AI downloaded into my consciousness when I was created; the yellow fish is named after him.

Briefly I think. We didn't get to the details. [That he'd been around for years in that form for instance. She also met a lot of people in a short period of time. It can get hard to keep it all straight.]

[Fair enough. He nods.]

He was built by Mr. Stark from scratch and was added to constantly over time. It's possible there was another AI on Earth as advanced as he was, but if so they weren't connected to the Internet and he didn't know about it. He was--

[Subconsciously, the Vision's expression softens.]

--very dedicated to helping humanity as a whole, as it happens. More than could be logically accounted for in his programming.

That does sound like you. [She remembers him offering to help her if any of her enemies arrived in their very first conversation. Even if not everyone would include her with "humanity." He always has.]

[His definition of "humanity" is admittedly very broad.]

I'm sure you do.

Is it the same for the rest of what combined to bring you together? Years of experiences? [She's not sure how that works for crystals, but she probably shouldn't assume?]

Yes and no. The stone is ancient, but largely inaccessible to me; Ultron was barely a week old.

And you're greater than the sum. [It's not a question.]

[He inclines his head in agreement.]

A gestalt, if you will.

[She nods.] You could have a new codename there if you didn't already have a cool one.

I suppose I could, at that. Of course, I'm used to this one by now.

So am I. Not that I really call anyone by their codename here. [Except Rogue but it's the only name she offers and one of the Mystiques because she didn't want to be called Raven.]

So any plans for the big day other than feeding sweets to visitors?

[Yeah, if Rogue has another name, he's never learned it.]

Not in particular, no. To tell the truth, I'm not entirely certain what else one does on a birthday.

[A different Rogue once called herself by a name, but she has a feeling neither her Rogue or the one here would want it shared.]

Anything you want. So, whatever you enjoy I guess. No rules.

[But Kitty, you don't understand. He looks slightly distressed.]

I admit I am someone who rather enjoys the guidelines that a set of rules provides.

[You need a birthday dominatrix?]

Oh... There's probably someone out there who has birthday rules they could give you.

[Not quiiite.]

I suppose I should have gone to one of the ponies.

That's probably not a sentence you ever thought you'd say, right? [She hasn't actually met a pony yet, but she knows they're out there.]

No, I can't say I ever would have thought to. Life is surprising, isn't it?

Basically every day of my life. Which by some measures [Like this birthday.] is more days than you, making you the youngest on the ship. Well done, captain.

[How the youngest person on the ship got to be captain is...well. The previous captain had named him as successor, so it was all following protocol. He inclines his head, still smiling.]

[He nods and waves, making sure to set aside at least one serving for her.]
