[The video clicks on to an unusual-looking man with maroon skin and a yellow gem set into his forehead. Though he's been a familiar sight around the Windrose, the Vision doesn't tend to post much so he wouldn't be surprised if there are many unfamiliar with him.

This is a special occasion, however. There's even what looks like a cake in the background.]

There was a slight time differential between my last memories of home and the calendar here. Namely, I seem to have missed the month of June entirely. Given that lack, today is the three hundred sixty-fifth day since I was created.

Accordingly, there is cake and ice cream on the Windrose for any who should care to visit.

[He pauses and furrows his brow slightly.]

I cannot vouch for the taste of either, but I assure you they received the highest ratings from the shops they were purchased at.

They do, yes. But I can't say I understand their definition of the word.

Although, to be fair, I don't find most television entertaining in general.

[She tilts her head curiously.]

Any particular reason why?

I suppose I'd rather observe humans in reality than watch a scripted drama - and I do mean actual reality, not this sort of program we're supposed to be in.

Additionally, I am not the target audience.

But fiction tells you a lot about humanity as well - how we perceive ourselves, our cultural values, that sort of thing. And of course there are documentaries as well, if that's of more interest.

[She rubs her chin thoughtfully, though. It's a good point, about him not being the target audience.]

If you were the intended audience - what sort of things would you be interested in seeing?

I do enjoy fiction in general. Perhaps it's that I process text so much faster the slower pacing of television. I can usually sit through a movie. [He shrugs.] It could also be the general lack of television available to us. One can only watch the same episode of I Love Lucy so many times. I was only on Earth for several weeks.

[It's a good question.]

I like hopeful stories, I suppose. The kind that show humanity at its best.

I've also been impressed with ones that have intricate art, or use a new manner to tell an old tale.

I'm beginning to realize how spoiled I am with all the options we have at home. Only so many times I can handle demon space marines.

[Ah, but that gets a smile.]

Do you know, I think I have that one memorized by now.

[It is Wrath's favorite.]

I probably do too at this point. I can't say no to Wrath whenever she wants to watch it.

[Her giant soft spot for Wrath is very apparent.]

[His "problem" exactly.]

Apparently there's an entire series of them where she's from. It's difficult to tell whether I should be impressed or horrified.

Perhaps a little bit of both.

Perhaps, yes. Humanity will never fail to impress me.

I would say the same but well... [she grins] I'm more than a little biased.

You have a very good excuse for that bias, I think.

I thought so.

[Though she certainly has her bias for androids too.]

How are you enjoying your first birthday so far?

I am enjoying it, though I gather I should give some advanced warning in the future. I truly wasn't expecting gifts.

Ah, but unexpected gifts are the best kind, don't you think?

I couldn't say I've had enough gifts to provide reliable data on the matter.

Well we’ll just have to fix that then, won’t we?

Perhaps some day I'll have had enough birthdays to tell.

Oh but there are plenty of other reasons to give presents outside of birthdays!

I suppose several of the major holidays have presents associated with them as well, do they not?

Yes, though there doesn't have to be a holiday in order for someone to give you presents.

[Plotting, she's not plotting, what are you talking about?]

I suppose not.

[He has bought things before for friends when he thought they'd appreciate them, and any time someone's been injured he gives them a flower. That counts, right?]

[Definitely.]

What other sorts of things interest you, besides plants?

In truth, all living things fascinate me. There's so much beauty to be found everywhere it's difficult to narrow it down.

[But that's not helpful, is it?]

Anything handmade, I suppose.
